Lo-Taren - his name was penned by George Lucas during a writing session.

Lagon - it's like Logan with letters rearranged.

Krix - According to Dave Filoni, Krix's name was chosen because it sounded lizard-like.

Ramy - which is just a rearranging of the letters to Mary Franklin's name,big Bossk fan.

Gilas - he is named after The Giant Gilas Monster and Angilas

Ratter - his name comes from that of a real-life reptile: the rattlesnake.

Clutch - his name is taken from the term for the terminology for a group of eggs, which is a "clutch."

Goron - his name is derived from the Gorn, an alien species from the 1960s Star Trek series.

Smug - he is named after Smaug, the dragon from The Hobbit.

Sochek - his name is a reference to the character Walter Sobchak from the Cohen Brothers film The Big Lebowski.
