#PressPlay ▶️✊️✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿. . Yesterday, I protested & supported the detainees when I had originally planned on celebrating the #KoreanNewYear 🇰🇷🎉. Some know I am 1/2 Korean, but many don't know this about me.... . Like many, a descendant of AFRICAN slaves, my Father was serving in the US Army when he met my mother in #KOREA. He's an American Black Man born & raised in Mississippi in the days of #EmmettTill. He fought in the #VietnamWar for this country at a time they didn’t see him as anything more than 3/5 a human being, just as his father served in the Army & fought in World War II in worse inhumane conditions. My mother was born & raised & struggled horrifically during the Korean War, & then Vietnam as she performed as a singer for the US Soldiers to boost morale! . I was BORN in South Korea. Those who don't know, if at least 1 of your parents is a US Citizen, youre automatically a #USCitizen no matter where you're born. My mother & sister both born in Korea to Korean parents had to come to America & follow all proper steps to become US citizens. With the many flaws & evils of the Government & the people who have lead this country in the past, our ancestors fought very hard & died so that people like me & my family could have the right to marry who we want, served God how we please (or not) & have the RIGHT to come here & become US citizens... THATS what made America great even during the times when "AMERICANS" weren’t so great to us! . Here we are in dissension, chaos & damned near destruction because of another descendant of an IMMIGRANT (illegal one at that) who is abusing a position for personal & financial gain, doing horrible things that is ruining the many things that DID make AMERICA great! No I am not Muslim but I am still a woman of God too! I am a Proud black woman, I am a proud Korean woman, I am a proud WOMAN, I am an AMERICAN born to an immigrant & a descendant of slaves who I am proud of. To try to strip me of any of my rights, to strip anyone of these, is everything but GREAT, humane, Godly or legal! ✊🏽 What does it matter what denomination of God a person serves? 😏#WeThePeople #UnitedWeStand #ACLU #EveryoneButNativeIndiansAreImmigrants 🇰🇷🇺🇸
