Muffet didnât want to just stay in her house all day; that felt boring, even if there wasnât too much to do in the rest of the city just yet. Not with half of it in some state of disrepair, anyway.
So she had an ideaâ itâs free for her to do so, so why not go around offering the new arrivals around her some desserts for their condos? She wasnât going to charge them for it (not at this point in time), not so soon. Everyone could use a warm welcome, and a fresh plate of cookies.
There were a lot of empty condos still, whether they hadnât been filled yet or no one was home, and a few where people just didnât answer the door. Eventually she reached Condo 424, and knocked on the front door.
When the person answered, Muffet froze in place. It was the same girl from so long ago nowâthe one who gave her the very bracelets she was wearing right nowâstanding there. Korra. Whatever Muffet was going to say was replaced with a moment of silence, before she finally spoke in a quiet voice.

â = giving them a gift of a friendship bracelet, the design inspired by the water tribe (ofc she as a matching one bc she's gay af bye â¤ď¸)
{Thanks, Tumblr. But on the bright side, it glitched out and sent me this message six times. Coincidentally, Muffet also has six wrists!}
At first, when Korra handed Muffet a random box, wrapped in plain wrapping paper, Muffet was confused. There wasnât any special occasion happening that she was aware of that warranted anything along the lines of a gift.
âAm I missing something, Korra, or...?â she asked, the mix of confusion and now curiosity evident in her voice.Â
When prodded to by Korra, she finally began opening the box. She carefully unwrapped it, wary to tear anything that might be inside (including the box; what if the box itself was special? Better safe than sorry). Before long, she had in her hands the wooden box that was wrapped within.
She gave it the softest of rattles, hopeful for a clue as to the contents within, and heard several things hitting against each other, and the sides of the box. Whatever was in there, that sound was enough for her to think okay, maybe I shouldnât shake it, these might be fragile.Â
Korra looked absolutely pleased with herself, but Muffet knew by this point that that could either mean something great was coming up, or something worth a sarcastic retort from her. Muffet lifted the lid to the box, and was surprised to see bracelets inside!
And they werenât fancy, expensive, store-bought silver and gold bracelets either. These were clearly handmade from simpler materials, but to Muffet, that made them worth all the more to her. Especially considering they were from Korra. Especially.
Korra had to explain to Muffet what a friendship bracelet was, and what the design was inspired by, but once she did, she also held up her arm and Muffet noticed that Korra was wearing her matching bracelet. Muffetâs face flushed, her cheeks turning a darker purple as her heart surged with platonic love for Korra, and she couldnât ever hope to contain the huge smile on her face.
One by one, she set to putting the bracelets on; one for each of her wrists. Each of the bracelets fit comfortably around her wrist; not too tight to be bothersome, and not too loose to slide off if she were to let her hands hang downwards. They were oh so pretty to look at, with their browns and blues and whites and grays.
She spent a moment gazing at them around her wrists and marveling at the delicate work that went into them, then without giving Korra much chance to react, she stepped forward, closed the gap between them, and wrapped her arms tightly around Korra in a hug only a six-armed spider could give.
So happy was Muffet, that she even lifted Korra off of her feet in the hug for a couple seconds. A joking comment from Korra about how she was unable to breathe (and admittedly, Muffet might have been hugging her a tad tightly) was what finally made Muffet lower her back down. Muffet was giggling and if Korra looked closely, she might even notice she was tearing up just slightly from getting caught up in the moment about just how much she loves Korra.
She really loves Korra!
Muffet couldnât possibly ask for a better best friend, nor would she ever want to ask for one. No way was she getting rid of Korra. Korra was stuck with Muffet just as much as Muffet was stuck with her~
Now that Korra was back on the ground, Muffet also finally released her from her grasp, for the most part. She kept two of her arms on Korraâs shoulders, and in a swift movement, leaned forward and planted a quick kiss on Korraâs cheek.
âWhat did I ever do to deserve a friend like you, Korra? I swear, I mustâve been a damn nice person in a past life to be rewarded like this...â
He scrambles up on Korraâs leg with a flurry of scrambling paws, and he bounces around her shoulders with triumph, striped tail swishing to and from before he perches comfortably on her head!

âYou canât leave without letting me hug you first.â
âOh Korra, do you think so lowly of me that you think I might ever leave without a hug first?â
Not a snowballâs chance in hell. If Korra hadnât brought it up, Muffet would have!
Though she isnât normally one for hugs, sheâs more than fine with hugging people who are very close to her. And Korra fits that bill to a tee. There are precious few things in this world that Muffet loves more than being able to embrace her best friend in a nice hug.
Muffet stood, giving Korra a moment to step forward and hug her, but Muffet decided to meet her halfway. And by halfway, I mean that Korra had hardly taken a step forward before Muffet closed the gap between the two of them and wrapped her arms around her, her eyes closed and her smile wide.
She held Korra in the hug for a few seconds before finally letting her go, and took a step back.
âWeâll hang out again soon, okay? You know I canât go without seeing you for too long.â
Ares was the Olympian god of war, battlelust, courage and civil order. Or, more properly, the spirit of battle. In ancient Greek art he was depicted as either a mature, bearded warrior armed for battle, or a nude, beardless youth with a helm and spear. ( I really wish I could find a better writeup for him but Im to lazy to do my own )
I donât know if I really even need to go into this one but you start off with âtough, hot-headed, independent, stubborn and of course, rather arrogant ⌠has a deep loyalty to her duty as the Avatar as well as unwavering loyalty to her friends and family ⌠she always rises to a challenge but more often than not she is the one to initiate it.â Now, Iggy, my dude my bro my homie, if you think Korra is anyone elseâs kid I think we need to have words. Ares, especially in the pjo canon, is a god who symbolizes courage and strength and does not back down from a challenge. Points @ Korra like no shit sherlock
