Have you ever knelt?
No. Not the literal kneeling.
Back when I was in junior high, we had this poem about a woman who's husband cheated on her. They eventually separated and one day, this woman was strolling when she sees her husband on the street, penniless and helpless.
Her husband asked for forgiveness. What did she do?
She knelt down.
It still baffles me how I was able to share my perspective of what the knelt meant. Non-verbatim:
The wife knelt not in a physical sense but in an emotional sense. Given that this same man has left her and hurt her from the past, instead of lashing out her pent up anger and disappointment, she knelt and disregarded her pride. Amidst the fact that she is superior than her husband situation-wise and with his current situation as his karma for what he did to her, she disregarded her anger and pride and reached down to her used to be husband - not as a hopeful lover, but as a decent human being.
So why am I sharing this? Because I feel like we keep on forgiving but have we really forgiven? I can't blame those who cannot forgive easily, I myself am like that. I forget but not forgive.
Anyways, have you ever knelt?
Holy shit, why am I thinking of this? I was just happily listening to Day6 what the heck-
tired of apologizing
