No way... haha... It seems I'm not the only one constantly checking for rain, because just now, the servers of the weather app crashed. Lovely.

The people working on the weather app I use don't seem to care anymore... I think they've run out of ideas. Yesterday, it said "basically everywhere hot" A few days ago, it said "stay cool and drink a lot of water" like it's not even a weather forecast anymore. It's just whatever we can write, so it says something. Today, they seem to have given up because it says "new day, same heat" lol For the week, it says "The week starts hot." No shit, huh? I could have predicted this without looking at the app. But more importantly: No rain. Yep, we're going to become a desert. I can already hear Arab and Persian tunes guiding me toward an oasis that turns out to be a Fata Morgana - and suddenly, my camel collapses. The last thing I hear is the wind blowing sand over me until a Nubian princess and her entourage rescues me and adds me to her servants... wait, what? Ugh, okay... Still better to feed her cherries and do errands than perishing on the hot desert sand. I have a vivid imagination. I practically live in ancient Nubia now.

Li-ion batteries are okay when they work, don't get me wrong, but they can't be the future because the risk of thermal runaway increases significantly at only around 45°C. In some regions, it's impossible to stay below 40-50°C, 'cause it's that hot outside, so it's not feasible. Above 50-60°C (inside the battery), it becomes critical. Seriously, I can't see how this is sustainable in the future. We need better battery technology ASAP. I always tell people that the batteries we have now are a joke, but they're easily manipulated and think they're great. Do you really think a highly flammable battery that can burn down your house and can't even withstand temperatures that humans can is great? This is what's wrong with people. They're so easily convinced and satisfied. But I want solid-state batteries, ffs. They can withstand high temperatures of around 100-120°C, which is more than enough considering we would literally boil in such surroundings. Well, your phone made it. lol There's also no thermal runaway. Yay! I know they're coming, but I want them now! I won't buy any more batteries until solid-state batteries are available. *pouts*
