Kris, Noelle, & Berdly aren't technically part of the Kids Next Door, but they did run the unofficial branch in Hometown.

It... wasn't the best run operation.

They didn't even have a treehouse, since Noelle's mother got rid of the one Dess made after she... went missing. (Kris' parents would've been happy to help build a new one, but they couldn't afford it. None of them even bothered trying Berdly's parents.) They couldn't try to get one through the KND because, again: unofficial branch. The one time they tried, they got laughed out of the Sector base!

Besides, the adults in Hometown just weren't very... tyrannical? They would occasionally get into a scrap with Mrs. Holiday but they didn't exactly... win those. very often.

With all of this in mind and the growing distance between Noelle and Kris, their group was on it's last ropes. So, when Berdly turned 13 & immediately joined the Teen Ninjas (who did have an official presence in town, they just usually went to bigger cities for their actual missions) that seemed to be the end of their little almost-sector-DR.

Except suddenly, things were happening in their town.

Because a whole slew of new people arrived in Hometown just a few weeks after Berdly's flight from the group.

The first to arrive was the new girl, Susie.

Susie was clearly some form of Bully, so everyone was steering clear of her. You didn't go near Bullies unless you wanted to be their lunch.

(which is why anyone taking notes would have been surprised by the lack of violence occurring. Susie hadn't so much as given someone a wedgie since she arrived! But everyone knows that Bullies are wild beasts that just pretend to be kids around adults, so obviously she was going to go off eventually.)

Then, the new boys arrived.

It wasn't clear... where they came from, but one day Ralsei & Lancer just showed up for class and Alphys was too nervous to question it.

Much to the surprise of the rest of the class, all of them joined Kris & Noelle's KND branch.

Ralsei seems to conjure a HUGE treehouse out of thin air, and Susie starts hanging out with the group (which is super surprising because Bullies aren't typically great conversationalists). Lancer has an endless supply of 2nd hand 2-by-4 weaponry he gets from... somewhere and keeps the group well-armed (which was a concern, since Berdly used to be their Weapons Guy).

((what none of them know about is the First Day, when Ralsei explained that there was a Prophecy foretold and they all needed to work to stop it!))

But the biggest change for everyone was all the Businesses moving into town.

First was GoodBite Inc., an organization that officially made melatonin gummies, but (as Sector DR discovers) is actually a front for Monsters! ...Specifically the ones hiding under beds & in closets. Lancer is actually a kid Monster! But he still helps the group take down his dad and starts running GoodBite Inc. as a legitimate business to help kids (though he still occasionally pops through to KND bedrooms. gotta get those blasters somehow)!

Then Qu33n Co. arrived out of nowhere and decided to make Noelle the face of their next tech line.

Literally.

Thankfully the group put a stop to it pretty quick, but it was harder on an emotional level, since Berdly was hired (along with a few other Teen Ninjas) to act as a guard.

The town didn't even get a moment to breath before a studio moved in wanting to have the school guest-star in a game show hosted by none other than Mr. Ant Tenna, Kris' uncle!

(and yeah maybe it's for... oh, an eternity- but hey! It'll be fun and just think of the ratings!)

as the enemies grew and the team gained more experience, they also gained the attention of the very group that once dismissed them out of hand: the KND.

It's up to Sector V to find out what is happening in this little town before it's too late.

(It's already far too late.)
