I have no idea what I'm looking at here and it's stressing me out. Maybe I'm just tired but a Kawasaki cruiser with a 90 degree V-twin???

do you have a favorite motorcycle?
I have two favourites, actually. I'm lucky enough to own one of them, my Honda Valkyrie. My other favourite is the Suzuki Madura 1200, produced in 1985 and 1986. Maybe some day I'll have both...
hello, do you know where I can get more information about motorcycles?
Depends on what you want to know.
Total Motorcycle is probably the best source of information and news and has some handy tools on their site.
IMCDB (Internet Movie Car Database) is great if you want to know more about a bike (or car) in whatever you're watching.
Partzilla is an online parts store that covers most big-name motorcycles, often complete with exploded parts diagrams. I've usually had luck with them with bikes from the 80s and up.
Besides that, there are plenty of webpages, books, articles, videos, documentaries, etc. about motorcycles. Check your library.
All that said, the most valuable and reliable source of motorcycle knowledge is always gonna be whatever old guy with an old bike wants to chat your ear off about them. Go make some friends!
I don't think I had anon asks enabled, but they should be now.

was delighted to see this blog cross my dash, having acquired "ok I guess I'm the sort of person who'd like to ride a motorbike" when I transitioned and then over the last couple of years made that a reality. very excited to get a bit of regular exposure to Types Of Bike That Exist in my diet. :D
Thanks for saying so. Everyone could use more motorcycles on their dashboards!
love your blog. big fan. keep up the amazing work.
what's your favorite dual sport? mine is my KLR650 :)
(pictured sans saddlebags)
2022- Kawasaki KLR650
I am also a huge fan of the KLR650, especially the first generation, but I have to admit I am a huge sucker for street bikes that people have converted to perform better offroad (i.e. scramblers). If I had to pick a factory made dual sport, I would agree with you and say the KLR650, but the best motorcycle in the world is always going to be the one you have the keys to.
Your blog brings me great joy
Thanks! I am always happy when motorcycles can bring people joy.
