hello! idk if youâre still active on this blog but i saw a post saying youâd accept requests and headcanons?? youâre honestly one of my favorite blogs and your writing is adorable đ anyway, my request because voltron still owns my entire ass. i was thinking maybe pre established klance and errr, lance having a huge thing for tickling and not knowing how to tell keith he likes it, bc heâs worried that keith would be weirded out by it if he finds out but when does keith finds out, heâs not? đĽş
YOOO SAME BOAT W VOLTRON STILL OWNING MY ASS
no i have not watched s8 and no i will not but i still love the characters SO much
Anyway absolutely I can do this yes. I havenât written tickling in literally years (whoops) but I can only hope itâs improved since then. Also good lord ticklish!Lance still owns my whole heart so omg thank you for this amazing prompt, i hope you werenât hoping for a full one-shot and are okay with a less-formal one this turned out longer than expected lmao
Also aaaaaaaaaaa your words are so kind, ily anon <3 I hope to remember this blog more often bc Iâm so bored bc of quarantine and what better way to pass the time than to write?
Note: Thereâs like. no actual tickling in this bc I wrote it pretty much entirely around the confession itself but thereâs still some teasy Keith which is always good. Also I wrote this from like 3:30-5am whoops
Also this isn't letting me put in a working Read More and I am sorry for the resulting long post
Rating: T, it gets suggestive in words but not actions and thereâs nothing explicit

Lance bit his lip. It was Space Family Movie Night, and while it was a good movie that Hunk picked out, the scene that was currently playing was...
Well. The two main characters were having a (brief, but still) tickle fight on the protagonistâs bed. Lance had been hardly paying attention up to this point - it just wasnât his kind of movie - but this... this scene had his eyes glued to the screen
He tried not to pay attention to Keithâs arm around his shoulders. He tried not to think about the fingers that absentmindedly twitched every so often. It was probably just a byproduct of his arm getting tired and wanting to move, but during this scene Lance was hyper-aware of those fingers.
None of the others seemed to pay much attention to the scene. To be fair, it wasnât a major scene. It was objectively cute - the protagonist had a mutual crush on the other character, and they were finally getting close. But Lance couldnât help but be minorly petrified by it. He tried to be nonchalant, but felt restless throughout it. He tried to hold still, but found himself drinking from his glass of water less calmly than heâd have liked to afterwards.
All too soon, his cup was empty. He extracted himself from Keithâs arm and walked to the kitchen both to refill his water and take a breath.
He looked out the window of the castleship at the vast expanse of stars as he turned on the sinkâs faucet. After testing the temperature with his hand, he brought the glass to it, nearly overfilling it. He raised it to his lips and let the crystal-clear water cool him off from the inside-out.
After a few sips, he set it back down on the counter, looking out into the cosmos once more.
âComing back soon?â
Lance jumped as he heard his boyfriendâs voice suddenly in the room with him.
âYou startled me,â he chuckled nervously, picking his glass back up. âIâll be back in in just a minute.âÂ
Keith smiled at him, then walked over to him, gently embracing him against the counter and following his gaze outside.
âIâm glad we did this,â Keith said softly into his shoulder. It was still a relatively new relationship between them. They had been dancing around their feelings for long enough, and about a week before they decided to cut their losses and give in.
âMe too,â Lance said, nuzzling into his arms, letting his earlier flustering dissipate from his mind.
âSo, care to tell me why you left so suddenly?â
Lance could hear a gentle smile in Keithâs voice. âHm?â he asked, feigning ignorance.
âYou got up so quickly, are you alright?â
Lance thought quickly to cover himself. âY-yeah, I just got thirsty all of a sudden.â He took another sip of water to cement his point.
âWell,â Keith pulled himself away and began turning to walk back to the lounge, âdonât keep me waiting too long, okay?â
âIâll be back in soon,â Lance smiled warmly back at him. Crisis averted, for now at least.

It was movie night again, a week later. This time, Pidge had control of what they were watching. It was a spy movie of sorts, one Pidge said she used to watch all the time on Earth.
Lance was laying with his head in Keithâs lap, feet hanging over the arm of the loveseat they were in. He was more invested in this movie than the one Hunk showed the previous week.
When the protagonist was kidnapped by the enemy agents and woke up tied to a chair, a tiny warning bell went off in Lanceâs head. Be on guard, it said.
When the head enemy agent approached the protagonist saying she had ways to make her talk, the warning bell got significantly louder. Logically, Lance figured it wasnât going to be what he simultaneously hoped and feared it would be.
When the enemy spy walked around the back of the protagonist and extended her hands to the tied womanâs sides, Lance tensed up. Yep, here it comes.
Sure, the scene only lasted a few seconds before the enemy paused, threatened more, and the protagonist gave in, but it felt like an eternity to Lance. He quickly downed the juice in his glass, leapt up and went to the kitchen once again.Â
âCome on, itâs not a big deal,â he said to his reflection in the windowâs glass. He gripped the edge of the countertop. He felt that his face was probably glowing pink, and tried to shake his head to clear his mind.
âYou should be able to handle 10 seconds just seeing it.â Lance set his head on the cool stone under his hands and groaned.
âSo youâre obviously not okay,â a voice behind him spoke.
He jumped up and whipped around to, sure enough, see Keith standing across the kitchen. Lance noted he seemed to be fighting a smile.
âIâm fine,â Lance said shakily, filling his glass with water once more.
Keithâs trace of a smile melted away into a concerned frown as he closed the distance between them.
âLook,â he began. âTwo weeks in a row you jumped up and ran out of the room. Is it me? Is it the movie choices? Do you now want to be touching me when we watch them?â The genuine concern in Keithâs voice hurt Lance to hear.Â
âN-no, itâs not that,â Lance rushed to amend. âItâs just... uh...â and he quickly faltered. How was he going to explain this? It hadnât ever come up between them, and it wasnât exactly easy for Lance to talk about.
Keithâs face changed before Lance could continue, and for the life of him Lance couldnât name the expression he now held.
âIs it something with tickling? You donât like it, do you?â
Static was now the only thing in Lanceâs mind. He flinched and felt his face grow warm as he fought back a smile with an attempt at a frown.
âAh-n-no itâs not that I just - uh--â
âI can make sure there isnât any content of it in movies from here on out,â Keith stepped closer and took Lanceâs hand. âI want you to be comfortable, and if this helps it helps, right?â
Lance still couldnât figure out the expression on his face. In the meantime, he was panicking. Oh god, Keith was saying things Lance didnât want to hear. This was embarrassing, but for the wrong reasons. Keith was wildly incorrect, but Lance couldnât bring him to tell him so.
The blue paladin only couldnât handle those scenes because of everyone around him. If Lance let himself react naturally to it, surely theyâd notice the squirming and stifled giggles coming from him.
He just couldnât bring himself to tell Keith he not only enjoyed but loved being tickled. It just felt too weird to admit, plus he couldnât exactly say The Word out loud which made things significantly more difficult.
âN-no, itâs not...â he bit his lip and avoided Keithâs gaze. He was so afraid his boyfriend would think him weird for it, especially the extent to which he loved it.
âThen what is it? You know you can tell me anything, right?â Keith squeezed his hand.Â
Lance couldnât meet his gaze. He tried his best to squeeze out the words anyway.Â
âItâs not... that I donât like it...â and he couldnât speak any further. He could only hope that Keith could extrapolate far enough.
Lance felt a squeeze on his hand again as Keith laughed softly. âThatâs it, Lance?â
âIâm sorry... I know itâs weird--â
âLook at me,â Keith interrupted, gently cupping Lanceâs chin and turning his face to meet his own. The blue paladin still struggled to make eye contact. âThereâs nothing weird about it.â
Lance stayed quiet, looking down at the floor.
Keith fondly rolled his eyes before pressing a kiss to Lanceâs forehead. âIf anything, itâs adorable. You like laughing and smiling so much, itâs only a natural progression.â
Lance snickered at his boyfriendâs logic.
âOh? Was that a laugh?â Keith quickly responded, enjoying watching Lance blush deeply. âI wasnât even doing anything!â he smiled, moving to pin him between himself and the counter. With a shift to a bit of a darker expression and an evil grin on his face, Lance knew things were going to be alright.
âBut I can,â and Lanceâs stomach was full of butterflies.
A nervous giggle spilled from his lips. âNot here,â he whispered back. âThe others might hear.â
Keith leaned in close to his ear. âThen tell me, Lance, how much do you like it?â
A shiver went up and down Lanceâs spine. The blue paladin grabbed his boyfriendâs wrists in surge of energy and started leading him towards his bedroom, so they were out of earshot.Â
Their impromptu âsparring sessionsâ were about to get a lot more interesting.

Time: Idk, Keith is back and itâs The Real Shiro so
Characters: The Voltsquad (including Matt)
Pairing: Klance (pre-established)
Genre: Just some wholesome feel-good fluff in honor of both pride month and also because Keith officially comes back this season!!! The trailer looks amazing!!!
Themes: Ticklish!Lance, thereâs not a ton of tickling in this but it whatever, I also had to think of a reason why Lance could make perfect snowballs being he spent most of his life in Cuba and had hardly seen snow and I needed a certain plot point to make sense so things got mashed together and voila, also remember in s2 e1 with the wormhole and we found out Coran was a Punk/Emo teen?, whoops this is more of a normal one-shot that includes a little bit of tickling Iâm sorry, anyway everyoneâs happy and back and itâs wonderful, Iâm not sure how much I like the very end but hey
The castle landed softly on the white ground that covered the planet. They needed to stop â not for fuel, but simply because the team wanted to stretch their legs. Everyone was getting antsy despite their homeâs large size, and they wanted some fresh air.
Coran had said that the closest planet was cold and icy, but not unlike the more temperate regions of Earth in winter. The paladins grew excited. They had left Earth in autumn â and that was far from a season ago â so it had been a while since theyâd seen snow.
Thankfully, the castle had clothes for all types of weather, after all who would know where theyâd end up next?
Digging through the closets after seeing the vast white expanse all around them, the earthlings all had joyous, excited smiles on their faces. Pidge and Matt were recalling some story from when they were younger as they dug through some storage boxes. Hunk and Shiro were rummaging through a full closet of larger clothes in a spare room.
Coran had brought Lance and Keith to his old bedroom.
âI had a similar shape at your age, Iâm sure thereâs some old finds youâll like in here,â he grinned proudly, opening his closet that had acquired a thick layer of dust on top but was otherwise clean.
Lance rubbed the back of his neck, remembering some of the more⌠lavish outfits heâd seen the man wear before. âI donât know Coran, I wouldnât want to⌠risk damaging any of your⌠beautiful cloââ
âNonsense!â he cut the blue paladin off. âI have no need for these anymore, itâll be nice to see them get use once again.â He smiled so genuinely and proudly at the two before him that all of both of their resolves melted away.
âAlright,â Keith conceded, smiling back and feeling a sense of belonging at Coran passing down his clothes. âThanks, Coran.â
âDonât mention it!â The man walked back out of the old bedroom and back to his current one to find his own outfit.
Once Lance was sure that they were alone, he said âAlright, time to start searching through this mess,â with a sigh. He didnât expect to find anything great, but hey warm clothes were warm clothes.
He shuffled through some coats on hangers, all of which were in far more subdued than he expected them to be.
Keith was gently looking through some jackets folded at the bottom. âThese are all really⌠basic,â he murmured. âTheyâre all so dark.â
Lance looked down and saw how careful Keith was being with them. He smiled to himself and turned back to the coats, pulling a double-breasted wool one off its hanger. It was heavy, but thin. It would definitely be nice and warm andâŚ
He saw Keith carefully and lightly brush his fingers across the soft material of the next jacket he was holding, and shivered.
Nice and warm⌠and thin.
He shook his head, shucking off his hoodie and putting on the coat. His face was warm and he was trying to ignore it.
âLance?â
The blue paladin looked down at him again. âHm?â
Keithâs eyes were still on the black jacket in his hands. âYou grew up in Cuba, right?â
Lance began to look for accessories â gloves, scarves, earmuffs⌠there had to be some in here as well. âYeah, I left a little before coming to the Garrison, why?â He found a few pairs of gloves, but not much else.
âI was just wondering.â Keith tried to figure out how to word the next sentence so as not to seem ignorant. âHave you, uh, ever seen snow?â
Lance laughed a little. âIâve been asked that more than you know,â he responded good-naturedly, tossing a pair of gloves to him. âHere, these ones actually have fingers, and yes I have. Not often, but after coming to America I did see it a couple times. Remember that really cold winter the whole country got a couple years back?â
Keith lightly punched Lanceâs leg after the glove comment, grinning. âYeah, I remember that.â
âThat was actually my first time seeing it.â
The red paladin didnât know what to say after seeing the nostalgic look on his face. So, he didnât speak, and just smiled back at him.
Lance bent down, looking at another pile of dark clothes. âOh sweet! Looks like Coran even had snow pants!â
âAnd boots!â Keith saw a few pairs behind the jackets. âHe really was prepared, huh?â
Lance pulled the slick pants out and laid them on the carpet, enjoying the pleasant sound they made rubbing against each other.
âBlack, black, black⌠theyâre all black. Didnât expect this from Stage-Dad Coran,â Lance began, smirking. âBut hey, at least theyâll suit you! Looks like you both had an edgy teen phase.â
Keith opened his mouth to protest.
âI know, I knowâŚâ Lance held up his hands. âI shouldnât use past-tense since youâre still in yours.â
âMan, shut up,â Keith shoved him with his shoulder, laughing.
âMake me, knife boy,â Lance retorted, smiling back largely and shoving him in return.
âI would,â the red paladin began, âbut I know the way youâd want me to involves you doing anything but shutting up.â He smirked upon seeing Lance grow pink and avert his eyes.
âAnyway,â Lance grabbed a pair of pants and slid them on over his jeans, trying to hide his burning face. The clothes fit better than he expected them to â apparently Coran wasnât kidding about being their size. âWe shouldnât keep everyone waiting.â He grabbed a pair of boots and shoved some gloves into his coat pocket.
Keith slid on pants as well, and then stood up with the jacket heâd been touching in his arms. His boots were waterproof so he didnât grab a different pair to throw on. âSure thing, Iâll meet you out there.â
âAlright!â Lance smiled at him as he walked out of the room to meet up with everyone who were also emerging, decked out in their foster clothing.
Allura was wearing a large, puffy purple coat with a fur-lined hood. It had a silver sheen, which was seen whenever she moved. She also wore a light pink beanie, and her hair fell loosely out of it and spilled out of her hood. It made Lance briefly wonder if he shouldâve looked for a hat as well.
Shiro stood next to her, in a black wool coat similar to Lanceâs gray one. He wasnât wearing a hat, but instead had found a pair of soft gray earmuffs. He was wearing a pair of watching gray gloves as well.
Hunk had found a deep golden jacket that wasnât all that thick but seemed densely insulated. It was softly shiny, and almost appeared to give off a slight glow because of it.
Pidge wore a black coat that was puffy like Alluraâs, and it looked quite a bit big on her, and she also wore a bright red scarf wrapped around her mouth and nose. She had blue gloves on as well, and it looked like there mightâve been another pair on underneath.
Matt had a brown jacket on that went down to his knees, and a gray beanie as well. He was next to Coran who wore a shiny purple and green coat â much more of what Lance had expected from him.
Coran saw him approach and smiled after looking him over. âI see you two found something!â
Lance looked behind him and, sure enough, Keith was approaching the rest of the group. He wore that black jacket and a red knit hat. As he tossed Lance a hat, which he caught gratefully, the blue paladin noticed that he was indeed wearing the black gloves heâd gave him earlier.
âYep!â Lance turned back and smiled brightly.
âI hope itâs not too cold,â Pidge began, stuffing her hands in her pockets. âI get cold easily, Matt can vouch for me.â
âYeah,â her brother began, ânone of our family can handle cold too well, but Pidge is by far the worst.â
âWhat are the temperature readings, Coran?â Allura asked, zipping up her coat and rubbing her hands together. âWe canât stay inside too much longer like this, itâs getting too warm.â
The man fiddled with a small device he fished out of his pocket. âIn Fahrenheit: about twenty-seven degrees.â
âLetâs go then!â Pidge cheered, excitedly walking towards the exit as Matt followed.
âShe may not be great with the cold, but that doesnât mean she loves it any less,â he explained, looking back at the group, who began to follow as well.
Coran hit the button at the door to open the castle up. The cold wind drifted in and though it wasnât snowing currently, a bit blew in and melted on the floor.
Their first steps into the snow proved it not to be too deep â only a few inches. And once they had all stepped out of the draft from the open castle door, they found that the wind they initially felt was hardly even a breeze.
Keith saw that Lanceâs eyes were wide as he looked out over the blank, white landscape. Snow still had a new charm to him. He walked forward slowly, too caught up in the beauty to even notice his own feet moving.
The red paladin grinned as he crouched down and gathered a handful of snow. He shaped it into a ball, and threw it at Lanceâs back with a triumphant yellâŚ
âŚOnly to watch it disintegrate in mid-air.
Lance turned around at the sound of Keith shouting, and saw both his arm outstretched and a puff of white falling out of the air about halfway between them. He also briefly noted that Keithâs jacket was not actually black but the natural light brought out a deep navy blue.
Shiro bent down and probed the âsnowâ with his human hand. It definitely felt like real, normal Earth snow, but â and he found this as he tried to make his own snowball â it wouldnât stay together.
âNo wonder it blew into the castle, itâs basically powder.â He smiled at the red paladin, ânice try, Keith.â
He began to laugh at Keithâs unamused faceâŚ
âŚBefore he was smacked in the back with something.
Shiro whipped around and saw Allura looking all-too-innocent.
âH-how did you⌠how did you do that?â he asked, more bewildered than anything.
âDo what?â she fluttered her eyelashes at him. âJust because Alteans are strong enough to, in theory, pack powder like this firmly enough to make, say, a snowball, doesnât mean I didâŚâ
He groaned in mock-annoyance, and bent down to gather a fistful of snow with his mechanical arm. He clenched his fist as tight as he could, trying to cup it instead of just squish it, and when he opened it back up he saw a compact lump of snow. It was more like a mini snow-football, but it looked like it could hold up.
He waited until Matt was facing away from him, and let it sail at his back.
Matt jumped and yelped in surprise on impact, whipping his head around as Pidge laughed in delight.
âI guess Alteans arenât quite the only ones strong enough,â she giggled.
Matt scooped up some more snow, pressing it together as hard as he could, and threw it back at Shiro.
Needless to say, it fell apart as well.
Allura and Shiro smiled knowingly at each other. They dropped to the ground and started shaping snow and setting the balls and lumps aside.
Coran jumped in front of the others. âDonât worry, I will be your fighter!â he exclaimed, and followed suit with making snowballs and the others crouched behind Hunk, who crouched behind Coran.
Lance grinned to himself and started gathering snow as the others watched the assault between the groups begin. His ears filled with laughing and yelling.
Before the others noticed, Lance had a near-perfect snowball. He started crawling away from his group so he could get some distance.
Allura and Shiro saw him, and Lance made the motion to keep quiet and winked at them.
Shiro gave an almost imperceptible nod before throwing another at Coran.
Almost imperceptible.
Matt turned around to see what Shiro was looking at and shouted as he saw the snowball leave Lanceâs hand.
âTraitor!â
Keith felt it make impact with his right shoulder as he heard the shout.
And with the collision, the tables turned.
Allura and Shiro ran away from each other and started firing. Coran started firing at both. Lance began running from Keith who had started towards him, seeing the next snowball already in his hands.
How did he do that? And so fast?
âDrop that snowball, Lance!â he shouted after him.
âNever!â Lance huffed back. It was tough, running in even this odd, powdery snow. Especially for the blue paladin whoâd only experienced it a few times. Keith was more seasoned and began to catch up â and quickly, at that.
A few projectiles began to fly past them. They were Shiroâs, considering the odd shape.
A shriek rose up, and it was Allura. Pidge had dumped some snow down the back of her coat.
If they thought it was chaos, now it was pure anarchy. Matt took the cue from his sister and filled Hunkâs hood with snow and quickly pulling it over his head. Shiro made snow-lumps in batches and fired as many as could fit in his hand at a time. Allura managed to have an almost faultless defense and managed to strike anyone who even dared approach her after Pidgeâs stunt. Coran, on the other hand, had an almost faultless defense, striking anyone and everyone else.
Everyone aside from Keith and Lance that is.
Keith was practically at Lanceâs heels. With a leap, he tackled him to the ground but Lance managed to hold onto the snowball, cupping it in both hands in front of him.
âGive me the snowball, Lance,â Keith growled quietly.
Lance knew that voice. He felt Keithâs legs on either side of him, and realized the position he was in. He was on his stomach, pinned down, with his arms outstretched in front of him and if he pulled them in, heâd lose.
He felt Keith lean down closer, felt his weight keep him stuck in the snow that thankfully wasnât completely surrounding his face.
Oh godâŚ
He felt Keith move his arm â his eyes had closed and refused to open as his face grew warmer and warmer â closer to his side.
The coat was thin and surely, heâd be able to feel anything through itâŚ
Keithâs arm â and hand â crept higher and higher without touching him yet. Lance was already squirming, trying to keep quiet to not draw attention.
Oh no that was what Keith was trying to do wasnât it
Lance flinched, and in clenching his hands ever so slightly, he felt the snowball disintegrate.
âCome on Lance, give it upâŚâ
Keith didnât notice, apparently.
That didnât mean Lance had to tell himâŚ
Lance tried to protest, or to prepare himself for the sudden sensation of fingers dancing on his sides or stretched underarmsâ
But the feeling of a single soft, gloved finger gently brushing down his neck caught him completely off-guard.
The soft, cottony material of Keithâs gloves gave his finger an almost fluffy sensation against his skin. The red paladin was hardly grazing his sensitive neck, and the results were instant.
Lance froze after a small giggle leaked from his lips. He tried scrunching up his shoulders but from how his arms were positioned it was nearly impossible.
âCome on, just give it up,â Keith teased quietly, swirling his digit slowly against the cool, soft skin.
Lance wanted to bury his face in the ground, but the ground was far too cold to do that. He was forced to keep his head angled up a little or give up and relax. He bit his lip while trying to focus on not giving in.
He felt his hands begin to ball up on instinct â to hold onto himself â but forced himself to loosen up his grip. If his hands closed up, Keith would know the snowball was a moot point, and then⌠he might stopâŚ.
He heard Keith chuckle as he felt the weight on top of him shift a little bit. The finger never left his neck, but Keith sat up. Lance winced as he felt another hand on his side. He was right â the coat did still let him feel everything.
The fingers on that hand began to drum a little against his side. Lanceâs instincts got the better of him and against his will he pulled his arms down to defend himself, separating his hands and revealing the powder that resided within them.
Keith paused a moment.
By the time he spoke again, Lanceâs stomach was filled with butterflies.
âAre you gonna tell me how you can make them in the first place?â And the blue paladin could hear the smirk in his voice.
Lance knew exactly what he was given an opportunity for.
âW-why would I do that?â he said back, voice shaking just a little from fighting back anticipatory giggles. He could still hear shouting and laughing from the others, which was good. Their attention was far from on him.
âExactly,â Keith began, trailing his arms to have both hands land at and curling underneath Lanceâs hips. âWhy would youâŚâ he began to press his fingers in just enough to warn Lance of what was coming, âwhen you know whatâs about to happen if you donât.â
Lanceâs breath hitched. âK-Keith come on the othersâŚâ
The red paladin smirked, giving his hips a single squeeze. âI know.â
Lance squeaked, catching Shiroâs attention whoâd been drawing a little closer to keep up his defense. He hadnât noticed the two before, but now that he hadâŚ
Keith was caught by surprise as a lumpy snowball hit him on the side of the head. He jumped up, the little bubble around him and the one underneath him shattering.
He wiped his face, eyes landing on the assailant. âShiro!â he shouted, his face turning a bright pink.
âI saw you trying to stay out of it,â the black paladin grinned. âNot on my watch!â
Keith turned his head back to Lance, who had begun to stand up. He offered him a hand.
Lance took it gratefully. âThanks,â he averted his eyes. âIâll tell you how later, I promise.â Then, his eyes grew bright, and met Keithâs again. âShall we rejoin the fight?â
The red paladin smiled. âOf course.â
âSo, care to know how I could do that?â Lance asked him, back in his bedroom after coming back inside and shedding the winter clothes.
âYou know it,â Keith replied, sitting next to him on his bed after combing his hair free of excess water droplets.
âWell,â the blue paladin began, looking down at his fidgeting hands that were wrapped up in each other, âback home, we lived right on the beach. My siblings and I would always mess around, and weâd have what were like snowball fights, but with the sand.â He laughed at seeing Keithâs confused expression.
âI know what youâre thinking, âbut sand doesnât stay together.â Well, wet sand does â the sand that the waves can still reach. But we found out pretty quickly that it gets surprisingly solid, surprisingly easily.â A dreamy smile graced his face. Keith wanted to ask a question but didnât risk interrupting him.
âWhen sand gets super compact like that wet sand did, it can hurt a lot to get hit by it. So,â he stretched his arms and laid back on the bed, feeling more comfortable talking about his home now. He missed it, but now that heâd started he didnât want to stop. âWe learned to craft with the dry sand that was higher up and away from the water.â Keith laid back next to him and put his head on his shoulder.
Lance smiled at him, and extended his arms above him. He began moving his hands in the way he had earlier in the snow. âIt was difficult to get the hang of it, but even the tiniest bit of moisture on the outside can help it solidify. Then, on impact, it explodes. No pain unless you get it in your eyes,â he laughed.
âIt was actually easier with the snow,â he let his hands fall back onto his chest. âIf I breathed on the outside, it would melt just a little and hold the rest of it together.â
That was the end of his story. Keith knew it, too, but the quiet that fell over the room was almost too nice to interrupt.
Almost.
At the same time Lance turned on his side towards the other and began saying âbut who knows if thatâs the real story,â Keith mirrored him and said âbut how do I know if youâre telling the truth?â
Both felt their faces grow a little warm.
âHah, yeah,â Lance continued, voice back in that nervous, anticipatory tone. âWhy would I just give out my secret building technique, just like that?â He turned back so he was looking at the ceiling. âMaybe that was the truth, maybe it wasnât.â
An anxious smile grew on his face. âYouâll never know,â he put his hands behind his head, feigning relaxation and confidence.
Keith climbed on top of him and sat on his thighs, placing his hands back on Lanceâs hips. âMaybe if I finish what we started earlier, Iâll get the answer,â he growled and because he wasnât leaning down close to Lanceâs ear, it was louder than he was used to. It sent a pleasant chill down Lanceâs spine.
Lance forced his blue eyes to meet the strange and lovely purple ones. âThereâs only one way to find out.â
Keith knew Lance had told the truth, Lance knew Keith knew he had told the truth, and so on. But that didnât mean they couldnât pretend, right? In Keithâs eyes, any excuse to tickle his boyfriend was a good one.
And in Lanceâs? Well, technically the only thing in Lanceâs eyes were his own eyelids as steady laughter poured from his mouth, Keithâs attack already in swing. But surely heâd have agreed if he couldâve. And that was another point that was mutually known, which made the whole experience that much sweeterâŚ
And what made the snowy planet seem that much warmer.
Ok what if Lance got hit with the strongest fucking lee mood one day. He plops down in keiths lap, lowkey shaking. He looks up at Keith with those puppydog eyes and asks him to "please Keith?? Please do the thing??". And like, how can Keith deny that - đ
oh my god please YES yes yes god iâm so glad to be back bc now i get stuff like this
