Kakuriyo, on participating as an artist
Words from @whochromatic about participating in the GDCG 2025 Minor Character Bang run by @happ13unni this summer for the character Kwak Jaekang alongside author Sha (@circuitchoi)
This mini bang was truly enjoyable. Not only did I get the chance to properly illustrate a character I enjoy, but I was also able to work with Aynchent, an amazing person who wrote such a thrilling fanfic among her other godly works. It made me want to do my best with my art as well, especially since this was the first fandom event I've participated in. I am very happy that I could participate.

Running Family - Kim Jong Kook
A/N: Thank you very much to the nonie who requested KJK with his daughter on Running Man, hope you all enjoy this :)
When the staff of Running Man had asked if you and your daughter wanted to guest on the programme, you'd agreed wholeheartedly. Your husband had always been very open about your relationship and you and your little girl had popped up on his YouTube and occasional shows with him.
The only difficulty was keeping this one a secret from Jong Kook. None of the cast members knew what the plan was for this episode which was part of the fun. The idea was that they would each have a guest to help them out with the main task of the show, but first they would have to find the guest.
Before the search began all they were told is that it would be obvious when they had found their guest not someone else's.
You and your daughter were tucked away in a small supply room, ready and waiting for Jong Kook to find you. Luckily, today was a good day for your toddler and she was more than happy to play along once you had told her you were playing hide and seek with appa.
The first time the door opened, it was a surprised Jae Seok. You gave a little bow in greeting as he said hello to both of you, patting your daughters head.
"You're not appa," she pointed out.
"No, I'm not," Jae Seok agreed. "I'm going to close this door again and you are going to stay nice and quiet while appa keeps looking for you, yes?"
She nodded vigorously, earning a chuckle from him.
"I'll see you later," he told you, before concealing your hiding spot once more.
"Appa isn't very good at this," your daughter commented and you couldn't help but chuckle at her words.
The next time the door opened, it was your husband who greeted you.
"Yeobo?" he asked, clearly surprised to find you there.
"Yay!" your daughter cheered. "Good job, appa!"
He quickly kissed your cheek before bending down to scoop your child into his arms.
"What are you guys doing here?" he asked her.
"Hide and Seek!" she announced happily.
"We're your teammates," you told him.
He couldn't hide the happiness on his face as the three of you headed back to the main recording area. Everyone was surprised and delighted to see your daughter there as those who had already arrived came over to fuss her. Watching your big strong Kookie being so gentle and soft with your girl had always been a soft spot of yours, so you just stood back and watched as your husband proudly showed her off and introduced her to both cast and crew. It always amazed you how happy and outgoing your little girl was becoming. She was clearly enjoying all the attention she was getting. No doubt it helped that she was safely in her appa's arms and he would squeeze her or give her little kisses as she chattered away to whoever was listening.

Reminders and advice for the Wellington protest against "Posie" tomorrow:
-If KJK pulls out, there is still a peaceful pro-trans rally going ahead to show that people don't just show up looking for a fight, and Aotearoa genuinely loves and supports our trans community
-Wear a mask. Please. There are likely to be plenty of disabled and/or immune compromised people in attendance, it's for their health and safety (Also they have the added bonus of making you less identifiable by neo-nazis)
-Do not instigate violence. You absolutely have the right to defend yourself and other protesters, but KJK and her team are already trying to twist the narrative around what went down in Auckland today, and we need to make it incredibly difficult for them to do that here by standing it back and making it damn clear who started the fight if her supporters do start another one
-Bring water and snacks. Even if KJK runs away after 20 minutes again, her supporters will likely linger. You could be there for a long time.
-Wear sunscreen, even if it's overcast (that's general "living in Aotearoa" advice anyway tbh)
-Bring a raincoat. Would not advise an umbrella given that it's central Wellington near the harbour and there's currently a wind watch.
-If you, for any reason, feel the need to take photos or videos, do not include any protestors who have not consented to being in them- blur out their faces after filming if need be. Do not livestream yourself or other protestors, it puts people in danger.
-Have an escape plan, and make sure there is at least one person not going to the protest who knows you are going and can come and get you if something happens. Have something pinging your location privately to an emergency contact (I know Google maps on android allows this via a txt alert, unsure about Apple devices).
-Do not go to, or leave, the protest alone. If you must, meet up at a pre-event beforehand (vic uni are hosting a free sign making session that will conclude with attendees walking to the protest together), and when you leave, follow within another group of protestors until you reach a further away area where you can safely split off.
-Consider bringing a change of clothes to make yourself harder to identify post-protest. I know a lot of people will want to wear pride colours and whatnot, but this will make you stick out more once it's over, so if you're staying in town, you might need to cover up.
