I feel like jotaro is very repressed in general, especially regarding his emotions, I mean we never once see him cry in the entirety of parts 3-6. Like that tells us a lot about who he is
I totally agree!
He is very obviously a victim of the stoic hero archetype (bc he's inspired by Clint Eastwood) but it's delicious and he's a great character. However, as a consequence, he's very self-sacrificing and emotionally repressed so I don't see him taking any support even if offered it! He's probably an 'I'm fine don't patronise me' kind of guy even if he's hurting
This is from Jotaro's Jojonium chapter, and I think it's a good explanation of his demeanour.
But we never see Jotaro cry, and the closest we come is seeing tears in his eyes at the sdc farewell. Even then, he's saying something tough to offset the emotional weight and vulnerability of the goodbye
But it's very much a 'heavy is the head that wears the crown' kind of deal because having the most powerful stand known to man carries a lot of responsibility and as a consequence he probably feels that it's his duty to protect, even if it ruins his personal life and happiness as a result 🥺
