The good news is it isn’t giardia after all. Apparently one of the vets at the office just likes to spread alarmism. Severin has come around nicely over the past week, he is gaining weight and growing like a weed now that he his body can actually hold nutrients. The fever and diarrhea are gone and he is much more active.
The first picture is him just a couple of hours after we got him. Notice how tiny he was for a 15-week old kitten and how unkempt his fur looked. The second picture is him roughly a week later and a couple of days into treatment, the third was taken today, two and a half weeks after he and his brother moved in. He’s doing much better.
The bad news is I’ve still got to deal with 200+ Euros in vet bills with more on the horizon, this semester’s study-fee is coming up and and our asshole landlord decided to collect last year’s service charges early after getting into an argument with one of our neighbors. I’m looking at about 1k in total. So I will defnitely be opening up commissions some time next week as soon as I get around to make a sheet. Keep an eye out for that!
Bonus picture of Otis looking at me like he’s questioning my sanity. Bonus bonus picture of both the dorks in what is now, quite literrally, a cat bed.
