I’ve been browsing through Ideon merch on Mandarake lately, & I’m starting to wonder if Kitty Kitten was planned to have a bigger role in Ideon?
I mean, obviously, Tomino's a big fan of "girl with as minimal screentime as possible haunts the male protagonist" *gestures at Lalah & Four* & yet... IMO Kitty's character feels more grounded and ordinary than them? And while it's sorta a tragic fling like Kamille/For was, I feel like Ideon's animation and official art portrays Cosmo and Kitty in a more intimate light - they pose as if they've been fighting side-by-side for some time, or as if they're dating, not as if they've like, JUST met eachother in the middle of a humanitarian crisis lol
maybe this is just. a long-winded way of saying this official art is making me wish she'd had more screentime tho LOL
