I'm not a big Ideon fan cause it's got flaws and the obvious ones are boring (undercooked development, derivative visuals, rushed ending, unpleasant audio mixing) but experiencing Hundred Line, a more current example of attempted-merchandise-slop with these exact same issues makes me appreciate the humanity of those who worked on the former. Even when creatives are overworked it's obvious when stories are made by people who care even slightly about reality.
What if death and rebirth are impactful. What if a story about culture clash had more than one culture. What if people lie. What if the violence and patriarchy of Space Imperial Japan, while powerful, wasn't all that great actually. What if women interacted...
