Oh my god I just read ur kittenJay AU and can't stop thinking like what if he's in a relationship with Slade and being a kitten, he can't check in to him and then cue Deathstroke sneaking inside Wayne Manor to demand the bats tell him where Jay is only to find Dick Grayson in the kitchen taking pictures of a tiny cat hissing at him
This was⊠not what Slade had expected when heâd slipped past the Batâs security in search of his⊠In search of Red Hood. He wouldnât have been surprised to find Jason trapped in Wayneâs fancy little cave; a prisoner as they tried to make him see the light.Â
Normally, heâd leave them to their own devices. But he could tolerate Jason more than the others. Admired his skill and ruthless practicality. So heâd find him and haul his ass out of the fire.
He just needed to find him. Heâd expected to have to sneak past that ever-vigilant butler of theirs; make his way through endless security failsafeâŠ
But this -
âCâmon, Jay, knock it off. Youâve had your dinner! Just let me take some pictures!âÂ
This took the cake.
If that was actually JasonâŠ
The little cat growled and hissed, swiping at Grayson with needle-sharp looking claws.Â
Nightwing just chuckled, âYouâre so cute when youâre trying to be dangerous, Little Wing.â
Christ, if that was Jason, he was fucking adorable. And tiny.Â
Before he knew it, he was standing next to Grayson, staring down at the shifter on the counter. The first Robin sputtered next to him but didnât do much more than that, knowing there was little to be done when fucking Deathstroke walks into your kitchen.
Slade picked up the cat by the scruff of his neck and brought him up to eye-level. The feline laid his ears flat and hissed lightly at him but otherwise just glared with those eerie green eyes.Â
Yep. That was Jason alright. Heâd know that look of sulky displeasure anywhere. On any face.Â
He smirked. âAt least I know why you refused to show me your form now, Kitten." The cat mewed pitifully and Slade huffed a laugh. âIâve been looking for you for days, you know.â
He settled the red feline in the crook of his arm and ran dexterous fingers over soft fur, prompting Jason to purr and arch into the manâs hand.Â
Dick grumbled, having recovered from his surprise, âHe fights us every time.â
âYou just donât have the right touch, Grayson.â Slade drawled as Jay purred louder than he ever had for the others, nudging the older manâs hand for more contact.
The horrified look that crossed Nightwingâs face as the implications hit were worth any bitching the mercenary would have to put up with when Hood was back to normal.
