for the one im currently working on - the dean version - i went for a more serious note where reader has been raised in an environment where them being loud/noisy in any way was not seen well (details on this are kept vague on purpose as to not be potentially triggering). so it's more of an emotional toll for the reader, and reader is basically just working through those emotions throughout the fic. tickling used lightly as a way to explore the difficult feelings - sort of like exposure therapy i guess? but it's genuinely very soft and gentle, with lots of checking in throughout.
grace version for this i want to go more lighthearted - so my idea is less "can't be loud" and i went for the good old "reader doesn't like the sound of their laugh" route. i think this one is a bit more relatable to a wider group of people :) but i havent started writing this one yet, i need to finish the dean one first🙏

so number one. it's one thing for him to find out you're ticklish. it's another entirely finding out you Enjoy It.
you wouldn't even have to say anything about it, he's perceptive enough for the both of you. but he Will tease you to hell and back about it. sorry.
so like i already pointed out in the other post - he has a Teasing Voice that's very prominent. it's the mix of sounding like he's kidding around - like you're both in on a little secret joke - and at the same time aiming it Directly at you because he knows how to get to you.
"now, was that so terrible?" or variations thereof are very common in these situations: after wrecking you till you're gasping, once he has successfully manoeuvred you into his arms to get you, and - god forbid - making you admit you want him to tickle you
i don't think he's big into restraining - from seeing how he's like with buttercup, he's gentle. i think at most he would lock you into a hug, straddle your hips, or block you in against a wall. i have a feeling deep in my bones that he actually likes it more when the lee is free to squirm around. he gets a kick out of it, im sure.
if you call him mean as he's tickling you he's just gonna raise his eyebrows and (attempt to) hold back a grin. "oh, im mean, am i? how about this?" and he's switching spots and/or technique and/or increasing the intensity of the tickling "is this mean? yeah? is it More or Less mean than before? more? ah, so i wasn't mean earlier after all. good to know."
okay i took a lap around my room im back with a horrid thought
he's very good at sensing when you're craving/in need of some tickling. how he goes about it depends entirely on how he's feeling on the day. for example
if youre hanging around, maybe laying on the grass outside somewhere, hed study you for a moment, then roll on top of you
"now" he'd say, straightening to sit back on his knees "where would you like me to tickle you?"
if you start stuttering out objections that you don't want that, or, what are you talking about westley, or, what gave you that idea
he'd cover your mouth with his palm lightly and give you A Look like "either you give me a starting point, or i choose a spot myself - and i can't promise to be merciful"
so yeah haha rip my stupid chungus life
generally, i think he's happy enough to just get you without making you say anything outright to him. he knows it's part of the game, and he likes playing his part
he is, however, sometimes struck with the need to be a bit meaner - specifically in the instances where you're trying to bait him into tickling you
so, yeah, sometimes? he absolutely pretends not to know what you're doing until you're huffing and flustered and frustrated and only then does he crack the facade with a knowing, smug grin.
you'd point a finger at him like "you knew!!!!!!!!" and he looovveesss to see you a little frazzled and very flushed
"of course i knew" he'd say, crossing his arms and looking you up and down
and youre confused and looking at him like "then???? whats the issue here???"
"ask me" and when you visibly fluster even more, unable to find your words, he clicks his tongue like "oh dear, we are in trouble" but hes so smug about it
good luck if you're susceptible to faux sympathy and gentle mocking - he's def the type so go "oh dear, oh dear"/"awh i know, that's really ticklish, isn't it?"
hehehehe okay SO!!! (insp. from the dream!) imagine he’s straddling ur hips and he’s got his fingers in claw shapes and they’re nestled in between ur ribs but he’s not moving, not actively tickling, but just him putting his fingers in place tickles and the anticipation of it all has u squirming so ur moving around and every time u move, the pressure where his touch is hits at a different angle and tickles all over again. like he’s not tickling u, ur tickling urself by squirming on his fingers. and OBV he’s a snarky mf’er about this. when u complain he’s like “I’m not even doing anything! I’m just sitting here. you’re the one making this worse for yourself. just stay still” and it’s impossible but maybe you finally manage to get still BUT THEN YOU STILL HAVE TO BREATHE and when you take in a breath it moves your ribs into his fingers and the whole ordeal starts over again. and when u complain this is Unfair And Inhumane he chuckles and lets up and goes somewhere else, latching onto ur hips or knees, and the initial contact sparks the ticklish feeling but he’s keeping still again while ur body can’t help but squirm and flail under him and create more ticklish sensations involuntarily 🫥 and he thinks this is the most entertaining thing and he’s chuckling all affectionately at u and going on all smugly about how he “could probably stay here like this all day”, how he’s “not even expending any energy”. and maybe you finally manage to keep still and u think you’re safe bc he’s moved to a spot that doesn’t shift when u breathe BUT HE JUST PULSES HIS FINGERS IN PLACE LIKE TWICE and starts the whole chain reaction again oh boy 🫥🫥🫥🫥🫥

Ok...after your bucky fic I have to bring up the concept of a similar situation with Grace, except it would be way more playful than with Bucky because Ryland is a little shit. Like imagine being a lil tipsy with him and accidentally letting it slip, he'd definitely give you a Look like "oh really? Tell me more about that" or he'd pounce and go "so if i tickle you right here...like this...that's ok?" And it would devolve into him continually "checking" that you were ok/enjoying yourself.
Alternatively: mildly tipsy tickle fights with him. He becomes 100 times more teasy when drunk and it results in horrific sayings such as "ohhh someone's getting giggly huh" and obervations such as "You're very tickle-able did you know that"

and after you've sobered up he would DEFINITELY want to talk about it more, killing you instantly because if you were a little panicked about it he'd think it's soooooo sweet but also like really funny. i think even after a while, once you're both used to the tickle arrangement, he'd like to bring it up sometimes like "hey remember when you drunkenly confessed you want me to tickle you" just to see you get a little pink. nodding yeah....yeah.....
regarding drunk tickle fights YES ABSOLUTELY and also i think he'd get a lot more giggly and sensitive when he's drunk, so on the flip side taking him down would be much easier than in a sober tickle fight. if you can manage to get your head around enough to do it lmaoooooo
