Like Teeth

“Tis but a scratch.”

“If you say that again,” Wild says almost calmly, “I’ll take your other arm off.”

Sky dizzily looks at his left arm he can’t exactly feel and hums. Everyone else is panicking but he really doesn’t see the problem.

“S’fine. It’s still attached.”

Warriors makes a shrill noise, glaring at him fiercely where he’s washing the blood away.

“You’re welcome.”

“Did I not say thank you?” Now he feels awful. “I mean I would have been okay–”

“Your arm was hanging off!”

“They're like teeth, Wars–” Sky reassures the upset knight.

“…what?”

🛡️ Settle #7 is at 8k rewritten and isn’t even half-way done. Thinking this will be be another 3 chapter instalment. (This one is fighting me. I’ve got a chunk of instalment #8 done though!)

🛡️ Also for Settle: art pieces! Warriors has a little portrait done, Wild is currently in progress. I couldn’t write them so I drew them instead. As you do. Brain rot is real.

🌱 Life has another instalment (#4!) started. I’m resisting the urge to doodle for them.

🌻 Malia has another chapter part-way done.

⚙️ Time is having a terrible time in a fic that’s not yet posted. Thankfully at least one person knows what the hell is going on. It is not Time.

This is just a space for kitchen_cat on Ao3 (also linked in bio) to post snippets of and ideas for future works and any art pieces I have of the boys in any of my series — alongside the regular ‘oh that’s cool’ reblogs of my kinda magpie-coded brain.

Current series/works in progress are under the cut:

Deposited on the edge of a forest, cliffs to the left of them and a valley before them with running water audible through the trees somewhere to the right, it could admittedly be much worse. There’s no sound hinting at nearby danger, no plumes of smoke from monster camps or damage telling of much larger enemies. The myriad of colours from the endless wildflowers combined with early-morning clear skies top it all off to make the view near-picturesque. If it weren’t for the one glaring issue this place would be perfect. Too perfect, almost.

Unfortunately, they’re undeniably lost.

Hyrule got injured and didn’t realise. It all fell apart when he finally does. Twilight has no idea what is happening. He has no idea how to help. Wild does. For Twilight, somehow that just makes it worse.

The first time Wild sets foot in the castle of Warriors’ era, he’s hit by a barrage of memories. Legend decides to do something about it.
