#kitbashing warhammer

Just because she’s built like a war machine, doesn’t mean she has to avoid the ballroom.

Saw some cool art featuring a giant hat and realised I’ve only done a few big hats before, desperately wanted todo one and it turned into a rather elegant design in the end (thankfully, I was worried she’d end up looking like a pimp lol). I was tempted to actually paint this up with proper Mechanicus imagery, but decided to make it a little bit ambiguous so I might be able to use her as an Inquisitor and for other games.

If you’re wondering about that obscenely bright red, I used Rogue Hobbies’ signature paintset with just a contrast red over the top, created enough depth while still keeping the vibrancy of her paint. The resin pieces are some super super cool assassins from Anvil Industry

Transcendence can be quite lonely, the only thing like yourself in your own universe, waiting Eons for the next being to achieve what you have done.

This is a super wacky and insane kitbash, I had been watching the Dungeon in Delicious anime and I really liked the Mad Mage’s design and usage of his spell book, my friend was gonna kitbash something related to him as well so I thought I’d dig into one of my Frostgrave boxes for a book and give a go at it. For the painting I wanted to explicitly avoid all rules; no skin tones, things like leather or armour not to be painted as leather or armour, and to atleast incorporate silly spirals as a college mate of mine loves them. How I painted it kinda reminds me of that anciently cursed Ring point-and-click game.

As Magical Warfare became mechanised, and Mages Towers’ fell far behind established lines and combat zones, those powerful Wizards needed to be moved up into the fight with something that’ll house their great magicks and be just as defensible.

I’ve finally made a Tonk! I had told Apocrypha Now in the past I’d do one but I never got around to it, and it’s been a a while now but I’ve been constantly thinking about Narcoleptic Wizard‘s Aethertonk challenge. Welp, finally decided todo it and I’m super happy with the results, it’s not as silly as most tonks are which is a bit of a shame but I definitely think it’s badass atleast—and I’m very happy that the turret AND wheels fully function, no need to pretend it moves across the board I can just push it and it goes.

Arcane Officers and Logi-Priests are often times seen accompanied by the Infernos Artillery in the most magically bombarded sections of the trenches, their magiks unrefined and explosive, most of No Wizards’ Land has been because of their scorching.

This project is finally complete I feel like, really explored the Aetherpunk28 potential and played around with a lot of really cool kitbashing and painting techniques. They look awesome as a group and I’m very proud of them.

A Compiler from Bungie’s Halo predecessor “Marathon”. Really liked the visual language of them in the first game, and I’ve been itching to create something of Marathon after I finished the trilogy recently. I totally believe in that old Halo fantheory that Halo is a sequel to Marathon now.

In the trenches of no-man’s-land, you can hardly focus on your rituals under the cacophony of magiks and fireballs.

While many effective enchantments are used in the trenches to empower bullets and bayonet alike, behind the lines the logi-priests use the efficient power of Speed Magiks; dashing up and down supply lines with great haste on their broomsticks. Some snipers guarding the ways have learned well from those rituals, and now can deliver the rounds addressed to the other side with almost as much efficiency

Got some more Aetherpunk28 minis on the way but I’m close to calling this fun project finished.
