A collage piece that took me MONTHS to finish!

Surge means SO much to me its hard to really explain! She's one of my favorite characters in not just Sonic but fiction alone! She's so complex and well written! She deserves so much love!

Her story is so captivating in a way I don't see often, especially in sonic! She longs to break her programing, and yet, unconsciously, she still always falls into it. She's such an amazing representation of trauma and how hard it is to grow and move on from it. There's no way she can completely forget about her trauma. The best she can do is try to learn and grow, in an effort to be her true and authentic self. Not the self she was before, as thats impossible, but the NEW her. The new HEALTHY her. She can't go back to who she was, but the her she is now will only bring her more pain. She must consciously become her new self. She has to work for happiness, and its a hard endeavor that comes with a lot of very hard to swallow truth pills. She must abandon everything she knows and relearn everything in her life if she truly wants to live for herself and herself alone.
