The infection

- The zombots are Much more violent and dangerous than originally, the increased strength they have allows them to act on their urge to kill uninfected mobians.

- Strain 2 (the version Kit created) is spread initially through bites/scratches rather than any physical contact, but eventually it mutates into a spore-like airborne disease as they become more violent.

Factions

those who get out there and take on the infected

-Surge, Metal Sonic, Belle, and E123-Omega are immune and do a majority of Taking Out the infected/clearing out infected so that the rescue team can sweep for survivors

-Sonic, Amy, Whisper, and Tangle rescue survivors and bring them to restoration quarantine zones. Infected in early stages are brought to Eggman, Kit, and Tails to experiment on in the hopes of finding a cure.

Those who stay at the restoration and organize

- Jewel and Sage work together to ration resources, organize the setup of quarantine zones, and come up with screening protocol for newcomers.

-Lanolin works at the gate, with a few others, keeping any attacking zombots out and letting survivors in.

-several other restoration workers grow food in community gardens, use old clothing to make masks, collect and filter rainwater, and start self-defense training for those who don’t know how to fight yet.

Non-restoration groups/individuals

-Clutch the Opossum sets up his old lodge as a “safe zone” that’s pay to enter

- Vanilla has been going solo with Cream, she doesn’t trust the restoration not to misidentify them as sick, and so she’s been hiding out in the woods and mountains with cream

-Team Chaotix start out by investigating missing persons/strange noises (the infected) and end up a rescue team, getting survivors away from situations in their helicopter

-The Babylon Rogues do much the same as Team Chaotix, but having more room on their airship, they help treat injured uninfected and fight off hordes from a distance

- Eggman joined up with Kit and Tails to work on a cure pretty quickly, sending Metal Sonic to work with the other front line fighters and Sage to assist Jewel in planning/organization.

- Knuckles is on Angel Island guarding the Master Emerald, he has prepared in case anyone needs to evacuate to him, but his priority is keeping the emerald safe from the jewel thief.

- No one knows where Shadow’s been…

- Rouge has been trying to track down anyone who knows about the location of the chaos emeralds currently, so they can be used like last time

I feel like Kit finding the cure and being a Hero over surge would lead to some interesting jealousy between the two, when all Kit wanted was to give surge what she wanted.

The restoration’s testing is like No I’m Not A Human-style symptom checking (except it’s actually informed), and people are real upset to be turned away. Clutch’s pay-to-enter “safe zone” advertises that he doesn’t test those who enter, only having them agree that they’re not infected. A little “oh we trust you and the restoration doesn’t” bit, yk?

The game’s concept is that they will be playing characters who are all online friends, and they play this life changing game together that destroys the world and they grow as people as they learn about themselves and how to use their class/aspect to defeat evil and bring their world back and it’s really interesting! Sound familiar? No, of course not, it’s not based on anything!

So far we have a 3-person session with a witch of space, knight of time, and witch of heart (yes ik it’s wild it ended up this way but they chose the classpects themselves with no prior knowledge of it, just based on the vibes of the words)

I’ve been prepping the campaign for a Long While and they’ve been prepping their characters since Jan 16th. They have no idea >:3
