I Am TRASh AND SOO RUDE, THiS is soo GodDAmn LaTE. I HAVE NO RIGHT TO THIS BUT I’LL ANSWER.8. Something I’m bad at, but love? Video games and being funny. I dunno, I derive my self worth and confidence from how much and how truly I can make someone smile or laugh, I’m not good at it, but I dunno, when I see that I can make someone happy, I just feel something, man. 23. What is ART?? It’s….mmm, I’ll say for me, and I’ll be serious, it’s going through the motions. And I don’t mean that the activity itself is mundane or monotonous, what I mean by that is that it’s a process? Like, going through frustration and indecision, doubt, and then, fucking inspiration kicks and and there’s momentum and passion and it really sinks in and you finish then it’s, like, wow. Suddenly in a month (for me at least hahaha) you experience throes of despair and euphoria and it’s like the passage of life comes and goes. And you wanna do something, live the imagery. Summing it up, I really think art is something that makes you feel something. And I want that! That, not necessarily to gain praise from people, like, “Oh, that good”, “that’s great!” I want them to feel, to experience the booms and bursts, to really be immersed in the heat of life, in the deep quiet moments of their lives. Sorry, for the run-on sentence. I don’t feel like my art does that right now, like, when I finish a project and it look at it, instead of that “pop”, it just falls flat, like, damn it. It all slipped out of my hands. I’m really attracted to animation in this instance and the process of story telling. I want to live in this world, see what there is to see and breath it in, pour it all all in, and hope you can share the experience.
11. Talk about the best dream you've ever had
Okay okay. This dream is fucking phenomenal. It’s probably not the best dream, but it’s definitely up there. So. Apparently Shinjiro Aragaki was a real human being and we were dating. This was around the Christmas Holidays and we decided this was the perfect time to introduce him to my mother and father. The first stop was my father’s for some din-din, so we went inside and already there was fucking tension, like imagine Shinjiro and up against this 6 foot 3, muscular, huuuuge man. It was terrifying. So we walk into the living room and my father starts cooking and then Shinjiro is looking over at him and he’s like “What the fuck are you doing?”. My father turns around all like “You think you can do any better?”. Then the two fucking huge-ass manly men start this cook-off in our kitchen, while I’m sitting on the couch awkwardly.
Needless to say the dinner was the best I’ve had in any other dream. After the visit, we’re at the door about to leave and my dad; all tsun-tsun, gives Shinji this envelope and tells him to open it in the car. We get into Shinji’s car (I assume it’s his because I can’t drive), he opens the envelope and inside it’s a Christmas card reading “Welcome to the family. Don’t fuck up.”
The second part is visiting my mother, a little less realistic, but hilarious. So we get to the condo and immediately my mother is like “Why are you wearing a toque indoors?” Then proceeds to take off his beanie and ruffle his hair. The entire visit was my mother ruffling Shinjiro’s hair, sitting between us while we just awkwardly stare at each other.
I’ve never introduced my parents to a boyfriend before. But I swear to god if it’s anything like this, I’ll know it’s true love.
