There were so many....so many in his sugar-leaf trees....so many coming and going, brief glimpses of their forms catching his good eye as he scampered about out of sight. Hobbling due to his mis-sized limb. His tri-claws gripped the sticky bark that oozed sugar water; thick, like syrup and clung to him should he stay in place for so long. He couldn't wrap his head around it. Couldn't understand just where these new visitors had appeared from. Why now, were they in his forest? Why now did he see flashes of them out of the corner of his eye? Why were so many glimpses of himself, in forms he had not yet seen?
The first amongst the new visitors, was a Candybug like himself. Though, in far better condition from what he could tell. Not, ripped and torn like he was. Amidst the shadows he remained, watching and waiting to see what his comrade? would do. If he might be noticed. And if he was, just what might be said about his condition?
The next visitor was one that near made him fall out of his tree, having completed several double-takes just seconds before. His eye had widened and he had found himself leaning out of the treeline, his legs holding him in place as he observed surely one of his most interestingly biologic guest yet. He would have to speak to him soon, he knew that much. His curiosity was too fierce to let it be.
The sight of the apparent normal King Candy avatar made his blood boil and his eye glaze over in a sharp green, long fangs bared as he just contained his snarl of displeasure. He didn't hate the other King, no, no. What he hated, was how....normal, he was. How, unchanged he was. How lucky he was, not to look like if not similar to the scowling Cybrid. How lucky he was, not to be a patched king.
If there was one avatar that would send fear to his own black and misshapen heart, it was that of the reptilian Turbo stalking through his trees. Tighter and tighter he curled himself back into a hollow he had made to watch the newcomers from. His eye was wide, lips set in a tight line as he observed every inch of the ferocious avatar. Oh yes; this was a visitor he never wished to anger or disturb, not in the slightest. Never in his life would he need to play his cards right, as when that visitor was nearby.
After his latest visitor, the sight of the girl, the little hooded girl near drew the raggedy bug out of hiding. Coming within just a few feet so he could get a good look at her. She was different then the other avatars he had seen, and was one of the first non-Turbo or Candybug classified sprites he had seen. His head cocked to one side, hair falling past his neck in his curiosity. Though he honestly found her adorable on sight, he knew well by now not to judge anyone by their appearance. Especially not with that spiked mace of a lollipop she held...
Though he had honestly never seen a Sphinx before, he knew this visitor would be one to remember. He did however, curse his short stature in comparison to her own. Twenty feet was just not big enough in his opinion; especially after seeing some of his, brothers, shall it be said. Still, the sight of her large, lusciously feathered wings made him look back towards his own that flared out from under his coat tails. They, like the rest of him, were a bit tarnished and blemished, but at this point he was simply glad they still worked. He would have to be careful around his larger guests; especially if he wanted to stay off their bad side.
