And so the adventure begins... again!
Looks like a certain crocodile interrupted Argonaut's exclusive interview of the mighty Baron Dante. 🤭
It's been a while since I've worked on a full fledged artwork, but I couldn't stay still with the recent news! Croc is among my favourite games ever, and it's incredible to see both Argonaut Games' revival and the return of these beloved characters- I can't wait to see what else they've got in store for us! Welcome back, everyone ♥
I'm really happy there are so many Croc appreciators online! I'll try to make some more art of him, in the meantime here is a doodle of the gobbo king dreaming of a better tomorrow
This is sort of the continuation of yesterday’s post,
Casting people should be careful when they cast Rufus Sewell as not a jerk (Holiday) and not the romantic lead because he will steal the show and the hearts.
This happened in Tristan and Isolde. How couldn’t I root for Lord Marke when he is so dashing and practically dotes on isolde?
And in a way that happened in Victoria too where he played Lord M.
I finally finished this oh my god this took me so long-
A little late, but here is a drawing for the Croc: Legend of the Gobbos series! On september 29th 1997 was released the first episode of his adventures!
I sadly never really met the character during my childhood, since I didn’t grow up with PS1 games, but I did catch up thanks to Haruka to introduced me to this super lovely universe. (Well, way after the company went bankrupt, sadly, but still, joined the fandom during my teenagehood!)
This game holds a special place in my heart, not only because of the characters and the story but mostly because of the game soundtrack, which I believe to be one of the best videogames musics I’ve came across so far! (Kudos to you Justin Scharvona!)
And you’re probably aware that I became a ridiculously huge fan of Baron Dante, too, oops. All of this to say that I love this game, and I wanted to give it a proper tribute with a complete fanart!
So happy 20th birthday, Croc! May the small but friendly fandom stick together, and maybe hoping to see someday something similar to a remake? I mean, remasters are in fashion lately... Probably hoping too much, but who cares! c’:

King Rufus and Queen Eleanor sketch
Anders Baasmo C:
Oh my, Rufus. For a long time I didn’t care for him, didn’t like him at all. He was such a jerk in Holiday...
And then came Tristan + Isolde. Where he should have been... the villian as King Marke? But he was much more simpathetic, much more caring and nuanced than anyone else in that movie that I fell in love with him.. Although the aim was the complete oposite I guess. :) Well, the rest is history. :)
