The Kaptein Sabeltann show has been high on my list of things to see for a few years now. It's a children's musical series that's been performed in the middle of the night in a zoo in Norway since the early 90s, and they go all-out. There are 2 functioning pirate ships with cannons, actors flying on wires, pyrotechnics all over, and of course, no shortage of fun songs. So when it was announced that Ylvis was performing at a music festival in the same municipality, I took that as my cue to go.
I was more focused on enjoying the show than taking photos, so I ended up with none of the main villain, Maga Kahn. In fairness, he's best enjoyed with movement and sound. And perhaps sensation; he rose out of the water and over the audience, dripping the whole way.
