When the young Prince Peter ascended to the throne after the death of his uncle, many neighbouring kingdoms expected they could take advantage of the inexperienced king. And if the reason the then Crown Prince Pete had summoned him was for a deal of a more personal nature, well who could blame the demon for taking advantage of the opportunity.
