When the young Prince Peter ascended to the throne after the death of his uncle, many neighbouring kingdoms expected they could take advantage of the inexperienced king. Unfortunately for them they didn’t count on King Peter’s ruthlessness against those that would try to control him. With his champion, known only as the Merchant of Death, by his side King Peter swept easily through the neighbouring kingdoms with his army. No one expected that he would be as successful as he was in his campaigns against the other kingdoms. Many believed that the young king was resorting to sorcery to ensure his victory, but little did they know that it was not he that was the one that was using magic to fight. That his champion was in fact the demon those who faced him on the battlefield described him as. And if the reason the then Crown Prince Pete had summoned him was for a deal of a more personal nature, well who could blame the demon for taking advantage of the opportunity. The blood and death of fighting on a battlefield was an enjoyable bonus for the Merchant especially when combined with the prize that was his lover and king.
