at least hussie is finally saying something. i found it odd he decided to not say anything for so long, so it often felt disingenuous when trying to be more progressive in recent years.

i do wonder though if this will effect how abuse is treated in the fandom. i know to many others it is not a big deal but to me it is.

abusive relationships in homestuck are treated like its not a big deal all the time.

and my biggest gripe with hiveswap is how the background artist, and other developers, and big homestuck fanartists, support and contribute to abusive relationships and portraying them in a romantic lens.

it is hard to trust the hs team when they allow that type of content and dont speak out when the fandom is romanticizing it constantly.

i know how kimquatz feels about xefmek considering they gooned about it over their private account, and how the bg artist does as well considering theyve reblogged that kind of content.

it is disgusting, and highly triggering, and i want to honestly have them and hussie himself be direct about this.

being against transphobia and racism is wonderful but it makes no sense to me when abuse ends up being the exception. why are other things not ok but suddenly the depiciton of abuse being disrespected and treated like enertainment for people who do not care anything about real abuse victims, does not matter to them?

i know hussie not wanting much involvement with hiveswap is one thing but if you are going to claim to take responsibility then i am genuinely asking, please look at how your developers are handling topics of abuse and what they are putting into the game.

i do not trust people who make ntr rape fanart contributing to the work. mr-foods having drawn rape art in the past does not make me feel comfortable, and the same with kimquatz drawing ntr and talking about how funny it is to them.

if this is the kind of stuff that is acceptable to hussie then i dont know how seriously i can take this apology.

8. What's something that your OC owns that means the world to them? What's something they own that they don't like but can't bring themself to part with?

this one's for rorzak! it's a little of both with the same item: his red shades. they're a hand-me-down from valtra, but they also serve as a momento from a traumatic experience. while he no longer wears them off-planet, he still wouldn't be able to throw them away.

15. How does your OC take up space? What do they do with their hands when they talk, or how do they sit in chairs?

rorzak tends to sit with his knees straight or slightly out with his hands clasped in his lap. while he doesn't shy away from taking up some space for himself to appear confident, he can sometimes shrink down, leaning down into his knees with his elbows.

pyrroh takes up a generous amount of the space he inhabits, but still maintains body language that is closed off to people paying attention. he's the most animated of the three, but he normally stands with his hands shoved in his pockets so instead he gestures with one hand, his shoulders, or nods of his head.

valtra only takes up as much as they require, though people usually give them a wide berth anyway. they sit with their legs or ankles crossed and more often than not their arms too, so they don't gesture often or give too much of themself away.

nope! pyrroh is generally not picky about food and has no allergies or hangups with it

14. How are their table manners?

poor-average! he wouldn't go as far as chewing with his mouth open or being particularly messy (as he def was as a kid), but he wouldn't care about keeping his elbows off the table or sitting up straight.

the type to use his phone during a meal or talk with food in his mouth and be a little irritatingly noisy like continuing to slurp the last few drops of his drink through a straw. it's gone, dude, just get a refill
