Trump Defends Wrongful Manās Deportation: āHe Looked Like He Could Handle El Salvadorā
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Following the controversial deportation of 29 year old Kilmar Ćbrego GarcĆa, a U.S. citizen who was deported to El Salvador without due process, President Donald Trump has gone on to defend ICEās decision to deport GarcĆa, claiming that he looked like he ācould handleā El Salvador.
āIt was an honest mistake on ICEās part,ā Trump said during a press briefing. āBut itās nothing he canāt handle. This gentleman is a large Mexican guy. Heāll fit right in at El Salvador.ā Trump, who insisted that he had nothing to do with GarcĆaās deportation and put all the blame on ICE, called GarcĆaās deportation an āadministrative errorā and blamed it on there ābeing too many countries these days.ā
āBack in my day, we only had a few countries,ā Trump explained. āWe had America, England, France, and maybe even Spain if you were feeling a little exotic. But now weāve got El Salvador, Ecuador, Honduras, you know, all them Mexican countries. Itās just way too many to keep track of.ā
Despite claiming that GarcĆaās deportation was a mistake, Trump would still go on to praise ICEās āinstinctive policing.ā āSometimes you just gotta trust your gut,ā Trump said. āIāve seen the guy. He definitely looks like he could be from El Salvador. I donāt blame ICE at all for mistaking his identity.ā
Despite the widespread criticism, Trump continues to remain defiant. āHe should be thanking us,ā Trump concluded. āWe basically gave him a free vacation to an El Salvadoran prison. The one where they keep all the Cartel bosses. Itās the opportunity of a lifetime that most Americans wonāt ever get to experience.ā
