The purple haired girl knew it from the very first moment that she saw him. She knew he wasn’t just a regular demon, or even a ghost. The tall man had spiky, messy gray hair and two ram-like horns of mismatching colors. What caught her attention most of all, was the way his fang was shaped, coming out of his mouth from the corner of his lip.

If had been waiting for someone like that to pop in her small town: the ultimate combo, a vampire-demon. She remembered how rare such monsters were. The price on their heads was pretty high as well, them being the most wanted vampires of them all.

A smirk curved itself on If’s lips. She was already scheming how she would get to him. She would lure him into the forest, hide behind a tree and wait for him to stand completely still. Just before he would walk away, she’d run behind him and shovel her knife onto his back. It was her chance to finally strike down a vampire. Her only chance.

“Are you sharpening your knife again?”  Chlomaki asked her, opening one of her eyes to glare at her. “You’re making it hard to rest.”

“You better get up now. There’s a vampire-demon down there.” If said coldly, patting Chlomaki’s shoulder.

“Oh great, another stupid vampire.” Chlomaki yawned, stretching on If’s lap and then sitting up next to her. She cocked her head to the side, scratching her ears before pointing a finger at the figure. “Isn’t that Killie’s son?”

“Killie? You mean the white demon lady who married a vampire?”

Chlomaki nodded, pulling If by her shoulder closer to her so she could whisper in her ear.

“Killing him should be hard. He’s not an idiot.” She smiled. “Though you’re willing to risk it, aren’t ya?”

If didn’t answer. Instead, she got up and put her blade behind her back. The vampire couldn’t see her down there anyway. He had turned his back on her, talking to a girl. With her free hand, she took a flash with blood from her pocket and poured it onto her knees and arms. From afar, one could assume that she had just committed a serious crime.

“That’s your plan?” Chlomaki spat in a mocking tone.

“Vampires can’t resist the smell of blood.” If whispered, as she disappeared into the crowd.

She was sure about this time. She would catch him and she would kill him.
