Amnesia bros for the winnnn!!!!

Imagine falling in love with the first woman you meet after waking up with no memories lolll

He caught feelings after Kidnapping 1.0 (major antagonist kidnapped her and tried to break her) but didn't figure out he was in love in love with her until the Connor and Tessa situation.

Naturally he didn't want to say anything until he figured out more details of his past, most of what he has dug up points to something he doesn't want her mixed up in, even though he's certainly not in as deep as he once was.

I woud like to learn more abt ur amnesia bros ocs :3

I got two amnesia bros that I post about (I actually got five but two of the other ones are currently shelved wips and the last one idk if I'm keeping that as a plot point or not)

The first one is Killian Cory, from my WIP novella The Legend of Orian Goldeneye. He begins his story by waking up alone in an alley with the clothes on his back and a messenger bag over his shoulder, and can only assume the name stitched into the inner lining to be his.

He meets Jas, the other main character in the novella, in prison, after being arrested by the local garrison for "suspicious activity". Both get quickly broken out by Orian, a mysterious ghost who tells them to meet him at an abandoned shrine.

Throughout the story, his main conflict is his lack of memories of before waking up in that alley, only the clues he can piece together from his personal belongings and what his instincts tell him. When he starts developing feelings for Jas, this inner turmoil only worsens >:3

Another amnesia bro is my dude Hiel Fillius in my WIP novel Trials of the Six. He also begins his story by waking up with no memories, except he is surrounded by his teammates. Who he doesn't recognize at all.

Cue panic.

The only thing he does know is that he is in pain, and that his pet cat brings him comfort. It's up to everyone else to fill in the gaps---except! He joined the group last and was really secretive about his past! So they know about as much as he does now about what happened before he joined them!

A brief history of their relationship, circa my WIP the Legend of Orian Goldeneye (2021-present):

Killian appears on the planet Somnia, freshly amnesiac, and promptly passes out in an alley

Jas appears on the planet Somnia and honestly thinks she got roofied, kidnapped, and taken to a Ren Faire

Arrested separately (Killian for suspicious activity, Jas for suspicious activity, evading arrest, and assaulting an officer)

Thrown in the same cell

Broken out of jail by mysterious ghost child Orian Goldeneye (Jas spends that entire sequence dragging Killian around by the wrist)

Jas discovers she has dreamshaper powers

Killian also has dreamshaper powers, but a different facet. Orian is less skilled in teaching this facet but lil bro tries

Kidnapping 1.0 (Jas is kidnapped by Azura Lazuli, major antagonist). It is during this plot point that Killian realizes he doesn't dislike her to the point of leaving her to rot.

Rescue 1.0 (Orian Goldeneye bargains with Azura to let Jas go. Azura, being Azura, intentionally hides Jas' semiconscious body where she thinks no one will find her. Killian saves her from that, not from the actual captivity)

Free the ghost child (by working together, realize both work together well) (This is about when Killian starts to fall for Jas)

Kidnapping 2.0 (Killian kidnapped by other members working for people he used to work for (he doesn't remember that) (abductors don't know that) bc these particular assholes are in the business of trafficking dreamshapers)

(Side note: those assholes are directly why Orian and Azura are Like That, and indirectly why dreamshapers are mythologized on Somnia)

Killian has Revelations (very vague) about his past (also graphic torture scene from perspective of 2021-new-at-whump-me)

Rescue 2.0 (Jas works with Orian and two other off-worlders to get Killian back and wreck shit)

Killian figures out how to use his Jumper's Pendant (interplanetary magical transport) and offers it to Jas so she can go home

Jas decides yes, and also can we find other members of this shady group and wreck their shit too pleeeeeease?

Cue duo interplanetary adventures feat. fiascos like falling off cliffs, getting chased by walking trees, accidental poisoning, the Connor and Tessa situation, etc
