I have some concerns about the new Kong Skull Island cartoon. The kid characters seem kind of annoying in the trailer. Their dialogue sounds MCU-esque which is annoying. The closest I’ve seen the Monsterverse do this is in King of the Monsters. While it wasn’t as bad as the MCU it was slightly annoying. Hopefully, the cartoon is good, and they don’t over-do it with the MCU style humor.
Worst trope to me is 100% is “little kid has been disgustingly and horribly brutalized but is still a sweet unproblematic precious little angel” -10000 points if its a little girl thats like this but the boys that lived through the same get to be angry.

Don't try this at home. Unless you have wings, I suppose! (I'm still not entirely satisfied with the third panel. There aren't a lot of reference images for pruning a tree with a lawnmower.)
