Reading The Seer was a really pleasant trip down memory lane, and it does have me inspired again -- but it didn't age well for me unfortunately. Kinda sucks having the luster on your memory stripped away.

The Truffula Trove Chapter 1: Spring Cleaning

This was inspired by Kickster Ash’s Hogwarts AU, particularly this cute little doodle. I remember seeing it and was like “damn, those are some large robes they are wearing!” and thus the idea was born. 

To be honest, I like the rough sketch better than the final line art. I just like the sketchy feeling of it (pun not intended). Plus, I don’t know jack about the proper way of shading, so the line art was...kinda bad in that aspect. 

I had this idea for quite a while now and I just spent the past two days doodling on my computer to make it digital.

When an inspiration encourages you...

I don't care if people think PnF is a baby show or if my art is crap. I got a guy who's been in the animation business for YEARS, who's done and/or worked on Rocko's Modern Life, Family Guy and several other known cartoons, and who spent, along with Swampy,about 16 years or so trying to get Phineas and Ferb on the air, only to be turned down every time until Disney made it the hit show it is.... who loved my art, MY art that was constantly trolled, gave me encouraging words, and told me he would be putting that picture in his office. When someone who inspires you tells you your work is amazing, that's the most encouraging thing you could ever hear.

This has something to teach all of us. In short, don't lose faith in the potential of your projects. It may take 10 or 20 years for them to shine, maybe more. Patience, belief and drive are key.
