"Who are you?"
Sometimes I know the answer with every fiber of my consciousness. Sometimes, it's... weird to look back and see someone use my voice to answer with that same level of confidence, and not have any connection to that answer.
The question is terrifying when the answer is complicated. Who am I? I could be me, or I could be him wearing my face. I could be so deeply in tune with my partner that we don't worry about where one ends and the other begins until someone asks us to. (and then, no one understands. No one seems to grasp that it's painful to separate just to identify ourselves. It hurts to rip into a more defined two just so people can say one's name.)
The worst case scenario: there doesn't seem to be an answer at all. Who am I? Do I exist? The name you called me seems foreign. I have no identifying likes, or interests, or pronouns. I try to find some answer, and the only identity I seem to have is that I don't have an identity.
And no one seems to believe when we can only answer who we're not.

I think one of the struggles with DID primarily is that whenever people medically talk about switches, it's like a lightswitch. It's one, and then it's another. A blink between.
But... there's others, too.
A vague fugue before someone else wakes up.
A switch that feels more like a blend or smear from one to another.
A dissociative spiral and I ask myself "Who am I?" and someone else answers.
Looking back, and realizing at some point the lightswitch was flipped, but having no idea when, or how, or why. No snap of the fingers that made me Here. Just... being the one that grounded myself into "me."

how recent was your syscovery?
Uhhh I think 2025? I dunno, I wasn't around for the syscovery and the core/host doesn't remember either. He definitely saw signs of it before then before we learned of it, so who knows for sure!

mainly checking in on anyone who’s connected with crk, for context we have the deciet trio and silent salt introjected in our system so we want to know if there’s anything to keep in mind in terms of boundaries! :D
They don't mind as long as they understand that they aren't the same! If they respect that boundary, it should be fine!
And for fictionkins: they're valid! They definitely count and we'd not want to limit their interactions as well unless they're the ones that don't want to interact!
However we can't say for sure since we've not really interacted with many doubles lol.
Milk (smc) and Dark (dsc) are very fine with it and Silence is fine with it as well, at least currently since haven't interacted with doubles for Dark and Silence but we have once for Milk and he's fine with it.
