“This is dumb.” Kiba mumbled

Akamaru just rolled his eyes, but kiba missed it as his eyes remained trained on the plate in front of him.

Onigiri. Three of them. With Kankuro’s face made up in vegetables on them. It was something Hinata did for Naruto once, and he had told her she would make a heck of a wife. He had gotten the recipe last time he was in Konoha.

This is so so dumb.

He packed them up anyways.

Kankuro looked down at the lunchbox for a long moment. Three onigiri. Shaped like his face. There was even different face paint markings on each. He looked up at Kiba, who was pointedly avoiding his gaze. He picked one up. He couldn’t help his smile.

“They’re almost too cute to eat.”

Kiba looked up, with a vaguely startled expression. He bit into the onigiri and sighed with pleasure, it was downright delicious!

“Damn Kiba! I envy the man who marries you. This kind of cooking every day?” He took another bite. When he looked up Kiba had a strange, but distinctly happy look. Kiba gave him a broad smile when their gazes met.

“Damn right, you remember that.” He winked.

Kankuro was startled, but couldn’t help resting his head on his hand, and taking another bite, looking up at Kiba,

Gaara has finally built up the courage to propose to Lee, but chaos ensues when they’re invited to Shikamaru and Temari’s anniversary trip. And--to no one’s surprise--Kiba and Kankuro are nowhere to be found. It’s what the Kazekage would describe as typical for his siblings.

He chuckled and pointed in the vague direction of the commotion he’d just been causing, saying a simple, “Big sisters, amiright?”

The slightly awkward smile turned into a full-on grin. “Dude.”
