✨Kingdom Hearts OC Week: Day One - Daybreak Town✨

Here's my first art of the week for this event! 🩷 Some tragic art of the day Luxu and my OC, Hanamari, said goodbye. They wouldn't see each other again until the Keyblade War that destroyed everything.

Clutching desperately at Luxu's cloak, tears spilled freely down Hanamari's cheeks as she buried her face in his chest.

"Please... don't go. I don't care what your Master told you," she choked out in between sobs. "Stay with me here in Daybreak Town. Please, Luxu..."

"I'm sorry," he whispered, slipping out of her tight embrace so he could gently cradle her face between his gloved hands. "If there were any other way... I'd take it."

The pain burning in her eyes made it difficult for him to speak, but Luxu knew he wouldn't get another chance to talk to her like this as he stared at her through the shadows of his hood.

"I can't tell you why I have to go or where I will end up, but I swear to you... I'll find a way to keep you safe while I'm gone. No matter where this path takes me, I'll come back to you."

His voice cracked on the final promise since deep down, he wasn't even sure if it was a vow he could truly keep. The Master of Masters' instructions were absolute, and as much as it tore at him from the inside, he knew he couldn't go against the role bestowed upon him.

Not even for her.

My keykid Marcie is originally from Daybreak Town! She thinks! It’s the earliest home she can remember having, but it’s fuzzy when she tries to remember before it.

When Marcie originally chose a union to join, she initially picked Ursus. Though within a year of average performance, she ended up applying for transfer to the Anguis Union to join a party she was becoming friends with. There she started to grow in personal strength and up in the Union numbers.

A wielder getting stronger after leaving Ursus? It was enough to get the ire and intrigue of Aced, a soon-to-be but not quite Master at the time.

Despite them growing to be friends and a bit of crushing on each other, Aced never fully let his walls down around her, days became years, he got his coveted title of Master and inevitably the growing tensions of the keyblade war would lead to him lashing out at her.

A relationship that was meant to be an eternal “What Could’ve Been” for the duo…. Only for them to unexpectedly meet years after a forgotten war.

Marcie and Aced both loved and lost Daybreak Town, but at this point, Marcie knows she cannot go back.

KH OC Week Day 1 - Introduction

Hiya, it's been awhile since I did KHOC week. I was debating on which OC to use this year, so I decided to use Áine again. She has changed quite a bit since I first made her way back in 2019/2020 (estimate of the year she was developed). She is one of my most cherished ocs and I have become quite fond of her and her development as a character. For prompts, I'm probably gonna jump around with different ones from the previous years and do one for this year.

Áine is a young girl who lives in Radiant Garden. She isn't a keyblade wielder, nor does she know how to fight. Basically a damsel who is always in distress. She's pretty much an average girl who unfortunately (or fortunately) gets wrapped up in whatever shenanigans the universe decides to throw at her.

She likes her older sister, though they often argue a lot. Because of her sister's over protective nature, Áine grew up sheltered and a bit naive of how the world works around her. It didn't help when her world fell and she was separated from her only family and was pretty much forced to interact with strangers. Talking with anyone who isn't her sister or close friends is an absolute nightmare for her since she was taught to trust nobody.

Áine does yearn to grow up and be independent, but she's also in a never ending cycle of wanting to become an adult yet being afraid of stepping out of her comfort zone. Hilariously, it's Xigbar who helps Áine go through her insecurities and mature a bit. It's also Xigbar who causes Áine to go from being super shy to sassing back, which she frequently feels guilty about.
