When Khan listened to her speak he was calm listening to her every word. His heart sank hearing that she hasn’t been feeling well thinking it must have been a virus going around. He wasn’t a normal human he was immune to human diseases and sicknesses. But for his Diana she could get sick but lucky for her she had him to heal her when ever she needed. Just like when he added his blood to her wound to help with the healing processes.
All he wants is to make her happy just as she makes him happy. Feeling her kisses on his skin always made his heart skin and beat faster sending shivers through his spine. Even when he could sense her mood changing into his frisky minx he will snap into the lover she needed. He loved the way his name fell from her lips. The way her moans filled the room and the way she felt around him. It all brought him to a whole new level of love and he never wants to let it go.
Though her telling him all the symptoms that she was having for the passed week and days. He saw the realization spreading over her face as she talked. He was confused and calm trying to figure out what exactly she was telling him. But then his smile disappeared and his world stopped.
HIs intellect made him processes things faster and better than people around him. Khan looked to her belly then to her seeing the worry that spread through her eyes. No she couldn’t be pregnant. Women now a days have better technology for stopping or halting the fertility prosses. He wasn’t even sure if he could get her pregnant, he didn’t know if Marcus had ruined his sperm. Now he knows for sure that even being a augment he has a stronger seed better for breeding. Though his mind began to race as a whole new nightmare awoken in him. If any one finds out she is carrying his child Marcus would now have a reason to use her to get to him. Even worse now that if she gets hurt or killed the unborn child will suffer as well.
Khan looked over her then turned away and stood up with out a word. He looked outside the window as his heart beat became rapid and his breathing heavier. Running his fingers through his hair and trying to calm him self, trying to rid of the bad thoughts. HIs eyes began to lace with tears so many emotions going through him. He heard slight whimper coming from her as he turned to see her with tears running down her face. He ran to her side and cupped her face wiping away her tears.
“Diana no need to cry please. Are you for certain that you are pregnant?”
Khan looked down to her belly then raised a hand and move it to carefully press it to her bare stomach. His eyes met hers. “My love….I..” He looked away and pulled his hand back feeling ashamed for letting this happened. He knew that all this love was going to be dangerous right now. But it amazed him how easy it could be to make a new life just with a man and woman who love each other deeply.
“I am sorry for letting this happen. Now I am putting you and our child in danger. I never thought in my life I would ever have a family that I made. If any one finds out about you carrying my child let alone see you, they will hurt you.” Tears started to form and fell down his face.
“I don’t know what to do, Diana? I love you so much. You mean the world to me. My sweet flower.” Khan wrapped his arms around her naked body and pulled her into a hug holding her close. “I can’t understand my emotions right now and I am sorry if I scared you. Thank you for giving me a life that I never thought I would have. Just know I will protect you and our child with my life. I will be here by you side through it all.”
Khan will do anything for her and will make sure their child grows up to see his father. Though deep down khan thinks he wouldn’t be so great at being a father but he knows for certain she will be a wonderful mother. Now khan would have to find a way to make news way for a better plan to keep her safer.
Her attempt to lighten the moment had fallen short. This was not the way Diana had ever envisioned sharing such happy news with the father of her unborn child. Not that she had expected to find herself pregnant so soon, either. Because she had been careful; scrupulously so.
Diana had not been in an intimate relationship with any man for more than two years, when Fate had brought her face to face with the living, breathing force of nature that was Khan Noonien Singh. And once she had realized the depth of her feelings for him--along with the forbidden desire he had awoken in her despite him being a patient and a prisoner--she had resumed taking the course of low dose hormones designed specifically for her body chemistry, which suppressed ovulation. All that she could think now was that something powerful in his body chemistry--by design, or as a side effect of the genetic manipulation which had created him--had somehow overridden her precautions. Literally causing her to ovulate anyway. Perhaps an Augment's natural biological imperative to reproduce was so potent that abstinence was the only sure way to prevent conception.
Dammit, Diana, stop thinking about this so clinically, she admonished herself; this will be a child born of the love between us, not a science experiment! But the way Khan's smile had just faded, replaced with a wary, careworn mien, struck a note of cold dread within her heart. Please, my darling, her mind shouted, please see this as a blessing rather than a burden. Or as just another obstacle to be overcome on the way to fulfillment of your plans.
