I interpret Apophis very differently from other Kemetic Pagans, I know this, but they refuse to see it my way.

In the context of the quote, it sounds malicious. But applying that to Apep gives a different meaning when you put it within the context of his mythology.

Every night, Ra travels to the Underworld. Every night Apep rises to test him. He washes away the old and complacent. Forcing Ra and the other gods to be more creative with how they defeat him. He roused the mortal beings from their stupor and forced them to fight to maintain Ma'at. If Ma'at ever became dead weight, then Apep would rid the universe of it.

That's not evil. That's necessary destruction. The end of a cycle that has, at last, run its course.

Hello! Thank you for your question. And, for me, priesthood in general would be focused on dance and singing, because singing and dancing played a major role on healing in Ancient Egypt. I will be mainly a singing and dancing priest for them.

Now, for Khonsu, I am preparing by doing a ton of research on Egypt, Kemeticism, and Khonsu in general. I am also researching the importance of art to Egypt as well as the importance of dancing and singing. I am also getting confirmations on the things I learn, and I have journals dedicated to the notes for these specific things.

Training is very personal for everyone! What training looks like can depend on your type of priesthoodship, here are some articles on some different types for you to get started. It can also be different depending on who you are studying for, for example Khonsu would be different from Ra or Aset. This is just what I’m doing for Khonsu and the type of priesthood I’m doing.
