uhh thoughts on jealous luke pretty please? 💖
Dude I’m gonna keep it a buck, I don’t think Luke gets jealous. ANH Luke, probably. But my fav era of him (ROTJ and beyond) doesn’t. At least not when it comes to dating you. And that’s the era I want to focus on because I want to do something different than the usual jealously stuff and because currently I’m in a fluff mood not an angst one lol
Like I said I don’t see Jedi Luke being the jealous type. He trusts you implicitly and feels like he has no reason to worry.
Jedi Luke is not immune to jealously however.
He’ll get jealous (and I should clarify that this jealously is not the petty, dangerous, or toxic kind- it’s very mild and trivial) in different ways:
When you get to go on a vacation while he has to tend to his students
When you can eat food that he really likes but is allergic or sensitive to (listen idk what his is but everybody’s got something)
If you observe a new bird without him
When you pick up a new skill faster than him (but really he’s more proud of you than anything)
When you are perfectly healthy while he’s the sickest he’s ever been and can’t get out of bed
If you meet one of his heroes while he’s away
If you have a good relationship with your family and none of them are Sith Lords or dead or trying to kill you.
^ that’s probably the biggest sore spot for him. He’s happy for you but it leaves him wishing he knew what it was like to have his parents present in his life, or that he got to grow up with his sibling(s) like you did. This definitely makes him feel sad sometimes.
Might envy you for your ability to wake up with relatively neat hair while his is absolutely all over the place (he tosses and turns a lot when he has nightmares, his hair has no chance)
Orrrr that you just don’t even have to worry about your hair (for those of you without hair or with say… twi’lek characters)
He might get jealous over your sense of style or fashion, and wishes he could dress half as well as you.
^ but he really doesn’t mind if you show him up because he thinks you’re absolutely stunning and the most gorgeous being in the universe.
