Thanks to all who donated to @chocchildrens and supported its efforts to help super sick little ones. It was a bitter-sweet day, seeing so many parents, families, and friends walking “in memory of” a child under the age of 5 years old, but it was empowering to walk with kids whose lives have been saved and made better by the doctors and staff at CHOC Children’s Hospital. We will always miss Kelly, but it feels good to do something positive to help other little peeps like him. It's been two years since we lost this amazing boy. He encountered so many challenges, but he was a fighter and a ray of sunshine. He changed our lives, and we are blessed for that. All kids deserve a fighting chance, like the kind that Children's Hospital of Orange County can provide. We are doing the CHOC Walk to raise money in hopes that no more lights will go out in this sometimes dark world. I'll do anything for kids to have a better chance and a promising life. We might as well channel our grief for our loss into fighting for other boys and girls just like Kelly James Burns. I love you, Kelly, and I miss you every day.
