also i love your view of their relationship! mine is a bit different though. i imagine them SUPER close, like "finish each other's sentences" close, and they both know how much they love each other but refuse to actually admit it to themselves. like, constant longing glances and cuddles when they have sleepovers (they have constant sleepovers I KNOW IT) like, constant closeness that if one is without the other people are like "where's your other half?"

i agree with your view of keith being the class clown! i feel in a sense ellis is as well but leans more on the "popular" aspect simply because of how social he is which makes keith insanely jealous. not for the lack of attention from others but for the excessive attention towards ellis because he believes he's the only one that will ever truly know and understand him. (a bit toxic? maybe....) also believe they both have multiple girlfriends throughout their lives and it makes the other PISSED but it's passive aggressive. one mentions their current girlfriend and the other is like. "oh... okay... anyways..." LOL

I really love that our ideas are different!!! Keep them coming, it really makes me think and consider things!!!

It's been so long for me since I was that age LOL like over a decade haha so sometimes its hard for me to remember what it was like and most of my experience in these kinds of tortured repressed feelings is like 'we know we like each other but *cant show it*' style scenes. I love this idea though, it's almost clueless in the way they don't acknowledge what each means to the other, the all-over-each-other, same wavelength, constant contact and connection type of thing--- toxic perhaps, but oh so juicy!! >:3c

And now I want to interview each one of these girlfiends and ask them what they know, what they've seen! Which ones were willing beards and which ones spread rumors, hmmm? Fascinating!!

also, another song recommendation that i feel fits them, "you belong with me" by dan berk.... yes it's a taylor swift cover but WHATEVER!!!! i imagine keith writing it (both he and ellis are in the same band) when they're both teenagers while ellis has a girlfriend (in my headcanon, keith doesn't fully accept his feelings for ellis but is definitely more open about them while ellis fights them a LOT harder)

also imagine keith taught ellis how to play guitar and bass... ❤️‍🩹 i love doomed romance

i think Ellis probably owns a set of steps he uses to get eye level with keith--- i headcanon this is a mountaing block like you use for a gyatdamn horse (what kinda person is 6 foot 5??? oh right, Keith is)

homieeeee we vibe. the tragedy is real. these are the best asks forever thank you <3 (i literally know all the words to that song like hm on t-swift now but i used to love that album when i was in middleschool) i defs think that fits Keith's vibe, Keith always seems more internal to me like analyzes himself and understands but rejects his own feelings, but he has weak moments where the yearning is just to much and *off-key, absolutely terribly* you belong with meeeeeee~ those feelings just break free. I feel like Ellis doesn't think about his feelings as much as he thinks about actions and words, he's more external and I feel like he's more of a 'as long as no one says anything about it, i can pretend its not happening' kind of person. Keith seems a little sheilded to me, like he's the class-clown, attention seeking type but really he only wants Ellis to notice him, doesn't know how to get it, and generally accepts being the social punching bag so he can remain relevent in Ellis's life. Ellis doesn't seem like the type to tell Keith how much he means to him directly, its why he's always talking to everyone else about his 'best friend' so that the word gets back to Keith that Ellis likes him, he's just tongue tied and can't be direct, but because Keith is so closed off and also guarded in that boisterous, 'everyone look at me but not too closely' kind of way, it never really gets back to him fully the depth of Ellis's feelings about their friendship.

Oh gosh, i just love thinking about them. You're the best.

ALSO i absolutely LOVE the way you write (should have said this sooner... oops!) i read your sugar baby fanfic with nick x ellis and OMG i LOVE IT!!!

i also share the headcanon that keith gets hurt all the time and that he and ellis live together! (before the zombie nonsense) except i headcanon they had no insurance and were just raw dogging medical bills LOL

also headcanon keith has diabetes because why not LOL

(also random headcanon i have, keith is 6'5 and ellis is 5'5. keith may technically be bigger, but ellis is stout and pure lean muscle so he pretty much always wins play fights.)

i headcanon Nick at like 5'9" and both the boys over 6 feet so i feel you on short king + tall one. why is Keith always 6'5"? This is the fourth time i've heard that.

Frisson might be wild and crazy and super long, but it does eventually sandwich Keith into the Nellis ship, so i highly recommend it as an author who likes to toot their own horn, I think it's very good.

The Sweetest Facade is such a wild ride for me cuz its like, such a different format of Keith than I'm used to but I also have a lot of fun with that one, just having him as a crazy country boy who (sometimes) has disability insurance just made sense to me. I love his dog, John Wick LMAO

1 ) i headcanon keith and ellis have matching tattoos (the tribal one on ellis' arm) ellis' is on his right arm (canon) and keith's is on his left. they got it when ellis turned 18 (i imagine keith one year older and he failed a year at school) as a way to say they would always be together

2) i imagine keith got kicked out of his house at 17 because he got into a physical fight with his father (both of his parents were abusive because i love putting my fav characters through pain) and he drove to ellis' house in the middle of the night and ellis' mother let him stay with them until keith's brother paul made room at his house for him to stay

3) i also headcanon ellis' father was abusive and him and ellis' mother divorced when ellis was young (in my mind, at age five after the whole "keith says he's gonna marry ellis" thing) because ellis' mother isn't exactly accepting of lgbt, but isn't NOT accepting (if that makes sense) so she didn't freak out when she found out keith had told ellis that and that wasn't the reaction ellis' father wanted from her

(side note: i have whole stories and family tree diagrams made for ellis and keith.... help me)
