Book 9 β made it across the country! If You Were A Mythical Thing by the incredible @kangofu-cb π So excited for this one. I knew I had to incorporate the stars (twist my armβ¦) and purple, and the wolves were just natural. Also got some great assistance from @claraxbarton to set her gorgeous illustrations right in the text (thank you!!). First time layering colored bookcloth, first time doing ornamentation in the typeset.
Book 13 β was an author gift for @drgrlfriend !! Such a gorgeously written love story and I had a ton of fun with the typeset. The Storm Shall Not Wake Thee is free to read on ao3.
Do you sell any of your crafted books? I'm looking at Jail Bait.
Hello!
No I do not. All books are made for personal use.
As a sidenote - selling fanfiction or any book you did not author yourself (including copyrighted characters) is illegal.
Gifting is fine. Personally I love gifting books, but usually to the authors themselves. Bookbinding isn't as scary as it seems and a book can be made within a budget, no fancy tools needed.
There are tons of resources out there, and a discord community Renegade Bindery @renegadeguild that has a wealth of knowledge for beginners!
If you do decide to try it out, feel free to message me with any questions or tips. I'm always glad to help out.
