Here he is: the penultimate Poke of the first generation! I had great fun making him look as “unnatural” as possible.

Unlike a lot of people I actually like this guy's fat cuddliness, though a more gradual transition from 'tini to 'nite would be nice. I tried to capture that in my slight redesigns; after I do the Mews I’ll miss the challenge of improving on the Pokes while keeping them recognisable... unless, of course, I continue on to generation II. I’ll have to give that some thought!

Number two: the speedster of the gang!

Aw yeah, the Eeveelutions! Let’s kick off with my favourite of the original three.

Have fun with Sun and Moon, everyone! Well, everyone except Europe... I guess five days’ extra wait is a fair trade-off for our countries not falling apart (not suddenly, at least).

The results of the US election knocked the wind out of my sails, so I can only imagine how people who actually live in the US feel. I was spurred on to continue this project when I remembered the release of Sun & Moon tomorrow!!! - if I can’t at least take solace in Pokemon now, when can I? I hope the same applies to you.

I’ve always been obsessed with animals; when I was little I was particularly focused on Australian wildlife for some reason, so I was mildly disappointed that Kangaskhan didn’t look anything like a real kangaroo. I did also like dinosaurs and dragons, though, so the elements of those in this Poke won me over.

As Vine leaves us, next up in the Kattodex is.... a bunch of vines. How bitterly ironic.
