Some conceptual artwork for a series I’m working on called The Valkyrie.
Premise: Valkyries have long been sung as the mythical female warriors in Norse Mythology. Their duty is to collect the souls of dead heroes and guide them to the afterlife known as Valhalla. However, unbeknownst to most people, Valkyries are real.
It’s the present day, and the Valkyries are a secret, global organization that has existed since long before the age of Vikings. Their mission is simple: to gather the souls of the dead and guide them to the afterlife. However, not all souls are ready for Heaven, so they Valkyries must match a tainted soul with a new host body so that said soul may find redemption through Reincarnation.
About the Character:  Kate is a lively and adventurous young woman with a love of food and French culture similar to her previous incarnation, Thomas Jefferson. As an archaeologist, scholar, and historian, her natural curiosity led her to join the Valkyries when a peculiar man in an eye-patch took an interest in her unique talents and made her an offer of a lifetime.
