Two numbers stand out in this chapter: 2 and 3

So..... we should interpret as chapter 2, chapter 3, and chapter 2 and 3 of part 2. 

We're even going to take a broader view, so let's take a look at chapters 23 and 32, which are both about Katana Man. I'm going to do this in an extremely pared-down way. 

Chapters 2 of both parts answer two questions: where is the demon that possesses the protagonists? One in the heart, the other in the brain. 

Chapter 3 deals with the relationship to love, and CSM's power only follows this resolution. Love is not an objective for the war demon, it's something to be used.

One followed the devil of control to love.

The other loves to control. 

What are chapters 23 and 32 about ? These two chapters deal with Katana Man's obsession with Denji's heart, which he must steal. Like a lot of enemies, right?

Except that Katana Man has no qualms about attacking Denji, not because he's obsessed with Chainsaw Man but because he refuses to believe that Denji has a man's heart. And in himself, he's right, his heart is that of a demon. Denji's body belongs to Denji, but his heart is Pochita's - worse, it's Pochita. 

You're beginning to see where I'm going. All the enemies were obsessed with getting Denji's heart. To get Pochita. But it was only Yoru, in her ignorance, who focused on taking Denji's heart and making it her weapon. If it didn't work the first time, it's not because Denji can't be subjected to his power. It was because he wasn't yet in love with Asa. 

Now back to Chapter 175, entitled ‘Both Hands’. The first thing you notice is that it explicitly refers to the severed arms of all the opponents, Katana Man, Yoru, the demon of aging. I'm not here to say that's not the case. But you feel it, don't you? That this chapter feels like it's saying a lot despite saying nothing? 

I think the fact that the mouth has been removed is a direct warning to the reader. Do you get the message in the silence? And it's been several chapters now that a bigger message seems to be delivered through images alone. 

We've done away with ears, then mouths, your last remaining sense is your eyes, do you use them to the full? Are you making the most of each element of the production? And above all, are you asking the right questions? 

You certainly don't have to feel sorry for Yoru because she's lost both her arms.

Yoru is the one who has lost the fewest limbs. It's the devil of aging who's lost both their hands. Katana Man has lost both arms as well as his head.

The right question is this one :

Why did Yoru only lose one arm ?

Why didn't Pochita behead her too ?

That's right, because he spare her

Did you ever wonder why Yoru stayed in Asa's body? And yet she lost an arm, a great weakness for a swordswoman. 

To finally get Chainsaw Man's heart. In other words, to corrupt Denji in order to have this heart that isn't human, this demonic heart, in other words, to finally possess Chainsaw Man. 

She's had him with one hand, without a hand she'll have him all.

That's what both hands mean. 

Did you know that when a knight, i.e. a Christian soldier, kneels it's not to declare forfeit? But to pray. Praying is nothing other than fighting darkness. So knights pray before they fight.

The war begins.

Or rather, the war is.

The devil of war isn't amputated, she's whole. 

But how is she going to say Chainsaw Man Spiral Sword without her hand and mouth to pronounce it ?

She's doing more than that, she's making a contract.
