First off, cheap products are your friend. I personally don’t think there’s such a thing as bad makeup, any product can work for you if you know what you’re doing. About 75% of my makeup is dollar store or drugstore makeup, and any high-end makeup I own was gifted to me.

First off, use primer based on your skin type. ELF primer is my favorite (because it’s cheap), and they sell a lot of different kinds. I personally have really oily skin, so I use ELF’s blemish control primer. If you have dry skin, opt for their moisturizing primer. I also have some rose water that I got from Wet n Wild (another cheap brand) that I spray on my face before actually putting on makeup.

This part is absolutely not necessary, but I color correct my face with green because I have incredibly red undertones in my cheeks and forehead. If you use a full coverage foundation you don’t need to color correct (again, don’t listen to beauty influencers), but since I use medium coverage foundation I color correct. It’s honestly just personal preference.

Foundation wise, I use Conceal & Define by Makeup Revolution. Another cheap brand and it covers a lot of different skin tones (it’s no Fenty, but I can’t afford Fenty so I make do). This foundation has a matte finish, which works for me because I have oily skin. If you have dry or combination skin, this probably won’t work as well for you. If you want a smooth finish, put on your foundation with a damp beauty blender (you can use a cheap one, they work just as well as the $30 ones that Sephora tries to pass off) and make sure you bounce it onto the skin. Don’t drag it.

The concealer I use is HD Concealer by NYX, and I just put it on the high points of my face and under my eyes. Same deal, bounce it on with a damp beauty blender. I also use liquid contour, and I use Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer a few shades darker than my skin tone so that I can pretend I have cheekbones. Bounce that on with the damp beauty blender. I set my face with Airspun Loose Face Powder in Translucent, and the bronzer I use is by Morphe.

I brush my eyebrow hairs in the direction I want them to go, and then I fill in the shape with eyeshadow (you don’t need designated brow powder or anything, eyeshadow works the same). I have a product from ELF that has eyelash primer on one end and eyebrow wax on the other, just to make sure my brow hairs don’t move.

I use blush and highlighter, but I pick different ones based on whatever color scheme I’m wearing. My favorite blushes are from MUA and Milani (both inexpensive, I stocked up on MUA products when I was in Ireland), and my favorite highlighters are from MUA and Wet n Wild. There are no rules to makeup, so honestly, if you wanna wear bright pink blush then fucking go for it. Freddy Mercury would be proud of you.
