I have noticed, in the mzds fandom, that many people have a fixed view of characters. What I mean is, they'll take what they know of a character by the end of a story and apply that to the character throughout the entire story, as though they were static and unchanging. Jiang Cheng is angry, always and forever. There was nothing to cause him to be angry, he just Is.
Jin Guangyao is a Betrayer, and Wei Wuxian never trusts him ever. There was nothing to cause him to Betray, he just did that and it's what he was always going to do.
Lan Xichen Does Not Trust Wei Wuxian, and he never ever had.
Nie Huaisang *is* a devious, clever, Schemer. He was always scheming, he is always Up to Something.
etc etc
it's quite strange. not sure why people do that. sometimes people do that even when it is explicitly contradicted in the text (eg, Wei Wuxian, if he thought about Jin Guangyao at all, thought that he was a pretty good guy with great ideas).
What about if Wei Wuxian got himself transformed into a dog, and he had to go to Lotus Pier to try to get help and even after all these years dogs *still* aren't allowed in Lotus Pier
Idk who needs to hear this but Nie Mingjue and Wen Qing lavender marriage.

I did this art a few months ago and only now I realize that the text behind them is kind of fitting
They’re a little bit rough so forgive me for that ¿(TvT)?
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Somewhere, a hand breaks through a man's chest. Somewhere, two brothers hold the body of their dying sister. Somewhere, a baby feels the warmth of his parents for the last time. Somewhere, the dead come back to life.
But not here.
Here, Jiang Yanli wakes up to fog outside of Lotus Pier. -- There needs to be more Jiang Yanli centric content in this world, so here I am.
Jianghu Confidential, a zine for the men of Chinese drama, coming soon!
