Karkat frown lessened a bit and he sat down next to her. He looked at the soporific drink in her hand and actually almost smiled. Rose was, he decided, not such a bad human. If he could actually manage to have fun around her, then at least this whole meteor ride might not be so bad.
Rose also looked down at her drink, but more to lament the fact that it was almost empty. She glanced at Karkat and then at the book in her hand. "Would you mind reading the rest to me? I would be fascinated if you could read it in the original troll language."
Karkat shrugged and took the book from her hand. The material was admittedly pretty graphic, but there was no harm if she couldn't really understand what he was saying, right?
The light player settled herself more comfortably and turned to Karkat. He had no idea she'd already learned the troll's native language. But as Karkat begin to read and she closed her eyes to imagine the two lovers (with maybe a few changes), she decided she would wait just a bit longer to tell him.Â
