Top BL series (in terms of acting)
1. Gameboys the series (2020) + Gameboys the movie (2021) - Pinoy BL - 9.5/10
Do I even need to explain lol. Everything aside, the acting, oh my god, its phenomenal. Elijah and Kokoy aced their performances and all the side characters like Pearl, Cairo's mom, Terrance, Achilles, they just ahhhhh it was amazinggggg. Their acting is so realistic, natural, warm and it just sticks to your heart like sometimes i feel like its happening right in front of me. I'd say that the emotional scenes were well played. Seeing Gavreel and Cairo cry made me bawl😭. Their closeness and commitment to their characters really paid off.
2. Gaya Sa Pelikula (2020) - Pinoy BL - 9/10
I loved Gaya Sa Pelikula's story, acting, lighting, props, everything. Ian and Paolo Pangilinan showed heavy competition. Both their performances were out of this world. Their acting is so genuine, touching, thoughtful and it's so relatable in terms of thoughts and behaviour and dilemmas. Oh and HOW CAN I FORGET ATE JUDIT, ANNA AND UNCLE SANTI. Their performances💖💖💖. Especially Ate Judit's character was well portrayed like I've literally seen people like her and its just so real.
3. I Told Sunset About You (2020) And I Promised You The Moon (2021) - Thai BL - 9.5/10
I have to start off by applauding PP Krit for his breathtaking and intriguing performance as Oh-Aew. The feels omg. Billkin did a great job as well. Everything was so realistic and it gave me so much artsy film, Your Name Engraved Here in and the infamous Call Me by Your Name vibes. The characters are imperfect and that's what i love about them. The actingwas honestly so real and well portrayed.
