Friends to Lovers

Gameboys the Series. It's no secret that Gavreel had a crush on Cairo from the beginning, but it's not something he tried to force. He was a natural flirt anyway so it was easy to play off. But he did offer Cai the friendship he needed while they both dealt with deaths in their loved ones, loneliness, and the global quarantine. They spoke on video chat all day everyday and quickly became best friends along with their #1 support Pearl. Gav promised to always be the friend Cai needed and Cai reciprocated. And when Cai realized he was in love with Gav he confessed and they grew stronger together. They have such a sweet and soft and moving love story, but were definitely friends first.

Bodyguard

KinnPorsche the Series. Porsche might be the worst bodyguard to ever exist, but hey they twisted his arm and threatened him to get him to take the job so of course he wasn't trying to be his best at first. Porsche is a natural protector though, for the ones he loves. He flew to the top of the class when he felt determined to prove himself to be a good bodyguard and he really did come in clutch for Kinn a few times. But I also just love that Kinn willingly put himself in the line of danger multiple times to protect his own bodyguard. I eat that shit up.

Love Triangle

Light on Me. This series reigns supreme for the Love Triangle trope for me. It was executed perfectly. Woo Taekyung had excellent chemistry with both Noh Shinwoo and Shin Daon. He could've ended up with either one of them and I wouldn't have been mad. I love that Taekyung had such different relationships with both of them. With Daon he was doted on and treated sweetly, he was allowed to be cute and depend on Daon. With Shinwoo there was definitely a more linear playing field between them. Taekyung was more at ease with Shinwoo because they were cohorts. Shinwoo was also painfully honest with Taekyung and I think he liked that. But Shinwoo did something that Daon did not and that was protect Taekyung. Also love that Shinwoo and Daon didn't let their crushes on Taekyung ruin their friendship. They both decide to pursue Taekyung at the same time, but promised not to get in the other's way and by the end of the series everyone was still friends, the student council was still going, and everyone was happy.
