While travelling from Malibu to Floravia, Ken and Barbie were supposed to sit next to each other on the 10-hour flight...wowww...it would have been marvellous to see them spending time together on board...only if it had happened🥲! Because it didn'ttttttt🥲🥲!!!!! Renee feels claustrophobic on an aisle seat, and unfortunately she got an aisle seat next to Trey...so she requested Ken to exchange his seat with her since Ken had the window seat! Thus Barbie and Renee sat together, while Ken had to sit beside Trey!!!!

It was quite disappointing...but I didn't mind because I loved the way Ken agreed within a second considering Renee's problem with closed spaces! He desperately wanted to sit next to Barbie and spend 10 hours with her without missing out on a single memory that could've been made...but he realised that someone else needed his seat more than he did, so he subdued his desires and performed a good deed! Yeah, he's always very selfless 💙💙

But since Barbie and Ken couldn't travel beside each other, Mainframe Studios does owe us a flight trip where they sit together and spend ample time in each other's company!!!!! I really wanna see them journeying on an airplane!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg that would be so great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basically, I NEED to see them experience everything together...visit different places, embark or various adventures, try out numerous activities and travel by every possible means of transport!!!!!!!!!

WHEN THEY'RE TOGETHER ON SCREEN ALL WE CAN EXPECT AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDES SMILES, LAUGHTER, HUMOR, HAPPINESS, LOVE, CUTENESS, HEARTFELT AND HEARTWARMING MOMENTS, A TRUE BOND....AND OF COURSE KARBIE!!!!!!!!!!!💗 Together they're unstoppable....love them to the moon and back🥰🥰

In Barbie: It Takes Two Season 2 Episode 7: Cupid Shuffle, Ken sends her a letter. Brooklyn's convinced it's a love letter. At first, Malibu Barbie denies, but she finally admits that Ken does have feelings for her!!!!

Malibu Barbie: I...fine!!! Maybe Ken has feelings for me that go a little beyond friendship.

Basically, here she admits that Ken has feelings for her!!!!

In the next two she admits that she has feelings for him!!!!

In Barbie: Epic Road Trip, just before the squad leaves the Dino Park, Barbie and Ken share an extremely cute moment where they look at each other from a distance and smile..Barbie appears to be lost in him...Brooklyn, sitting next to her, realizes Malibu Barbie needs a push to accept that she is into Ken and vice versa!!!!

Brooklyn Barbie: Ken is into you, and you are into him. You're gonna just keep pretending you're not?

Malibu Barbie: I am...I am...

...maybe!!!

Brooklyn Barbie: Finally, you admit it! You like him, and as more than a friend.

Malibu Barbie: I do...but it's complicated...

In Barbie: Epic Road Trip, during the breakfast, when Brooklyn tells the squad about a dog sanctuary where they could simply deliver all the dogs at once so that the Barbies could get more time to practice for the audition, Skipper gets upset because that implied that Match Mutts was no longer needed, which she had worked really hard on, and even more because now that the Barbies could make it to the audition sooner, she would get lesser time to spend with Barbie unlike what she wanted! So she leaves the site, goes out and sits on a bench alone, sad! Barbie follows to console her, and tells her that she missed the family while she was in New York, to which Skipper said that they missed her too, but it was Ken who missed her the most!!!!! When Barbie says she and Ken are best friends, Skipper is disappointed and asks her if that's all she thinks she and Ken are....this makes Barbie come out of denial and finally admit in front of her little sister...

Malibu Barbie: I do like him...

...so much...

(Well she did accept later on as we could see in ERT and ATOM and I love her for that😭💗...that's why I loved seeing how her attitude towards Ken was in A Touch of Magic Season 1...she was finally giving importance to the romantic part of their relationship)

I love all these vlogs so much😍😍...they're extremely adorable!!!! Which one of these is your favorite? I love them all so much, it's very difficult to choose...but if I have to pick just one I'd say the prom one...but I love all the vlogs mentioned here, and also all the other Karbie vlogs and I have many favorites! ❤

P.S.: I love the moments when Barbie blushes or tries to hide her not-so-secret crush on Ken 🤭🥰, especially in front of her sisters!!!!

...I feel that through this film the animators kind of sought to satisfy Karbie fans, without making it feel like a total romance narrative to the viewers who aren't interested in romance or in Karbie....that's why they made it an interactive in the first place....you get to choose what you want....if you love Karbie you get loaded with Karbie moments...if you don't you get a fun interactive film revolving around Barbie's mature conflict and dilemma, dreams, desires, decision paralysis; Skipper's business and the Barbies' career; basically a film revolving around decision-making and the difficulty a young adult faces in that process, along with several adventures added to the story, and a little Karbie too!!!!! So they made it an interactive to be in a win-win situation!!!!!!! And it did work well...very well!!! Another reason why they made it an interactive could be

Second thing, despite the dynamic interactive nature of the film it could've been made canon(not all choices but certain ones)...but it wasn't made canon!!!! So I feel that the Barbie makers knew very well what a large proportion of the Barbie audience looked forward to - Karbie!!!!!! But due to whatsoever reasons, they don't seem ready to officially declare Karbie as more than friends!!!! But they wanted to do something that would make the Karbie fans happy too...so they made this film!!!!!!!!! And I'm glad they did it!!!!

It is true that it's disappointing to realize that ERT isn't a canon...but at least it exists!!!! It isn't canon because it has no link or connection with the storylines of the projects that followed...but technically, it had been created by the same franchise!!!! It IS official....it had been made by the Barbie franchise only....not any random unofficial creator...people from Mattel and Mainframe Studios are the ones who made all the scenes...so though the movie isn't available anymore, it can never be considered nonexistent!!!! It does exist...it is true...it is authentic!!!!!! And it's not completely not-a-canon either....because in A Touch of Magic Season 1 Episode 5: Peggy-napped, Ken DID mention a summer road trip!!!!!! So I'm grateful to the media franchise to have created such a beautiful and tremendous project that is unmatched!♥️...and as I've said earlier, Barbie: Epic Road Trip is forever canon in the hearts of fans!!!!!!!!!!

And...hopefully I'm done with the practical analysis stuff and now I'd get back to the fun Karbie stuff!!!

I mean, the film would've still been fun if there wasn't Karbie...but then the major reason behind its likability would've been its INTERACTIVE NATURE and the flexibility to make choices, and not any of the multiple themes depicted in the film!!!! Why?? Because, keeping the Karbie part aside, the script was good...but not as good!!!!!! I mean it'd have been fun, but NOTHING EXTRAORDINARY!!!!!!!!!! None of the themes (except Karbie) was strong enough to be the major factor causing the movie to become a fan-favourite!!! They were good, like it could've been an adventure movie with the Match Mutts theme and some refreshing music stuff...but the film wouldn't have stood out the way it did, courtesy to the Karbie content!!!! I feel things would've been way different if there was no Karbie in the film!!!! And adding genuine Karbie content was literally the best thing the creators of Barbie media did!!!!!!! My sincere gratitude for that!!!!!

And I do not deny the fact that many people liked the movie because of the other themes....there are people (unfortunately) who aren't interested in Karbie, or even those who despise it (unbelievable but...everyone has their own opinions worthy of respect)...there are people who dislike Ken or the way he acted in this particular film (I respect their opinions but I seriously feel this was the movie in which Ken's character was at the peak...he was the most endearing character in the entire film and whatever he did was so lovable...in fact all the Ken scenes from the movie just stole my heart and ever since I begun to adore and respect Ken ever more than before...I've read people say that he behaved pathetically if Barbie made a choice against his wish....but...really??? He hardly gave any reactions, and he did mean it whenever he said that he was fine with whatever she chose...but being a human being he too could feel bad sometimes and make expressions...but he did that when no one noticed, and they weren't as pathetic as what few haters say...some say that the romance angle he added to the film was unnecessary...it's completely okay, some people don't like romance...but I feel it was so thoughtful and sweet of him to have used the trip to confess his feelings...it could have still been considered unnecessary if Barbie wasn't interested in him and it was one-sided, but it wasn't because Barbie admirer him back...so I feel there was nothing in the film worth disliking about Ken...in fact it made him more worthy of love...BUT THAT'S JUST WHAT I PERSONALLY FEEL I DON'T INTEND TO HURT ANYONE'S SENTIMENTS...sorry if I did that)........also there are people who just watch Barbie for the sake of watching it without any bias, or just enjoy watching Barbie and just don't pay much attention to Ken and Barbie's relationship and other stuff, they love Barbie, they enjoy the content, and then forget it!!!! So for all the categories of Barbie watches that I've mentioned, ERT was likable due to the themes other than Karbie!!!!

But here's the difference!!!! If not Karbie, ALL THE REMAINING THEMES COLLECTIVELY CONTRIBUTED to the film's likability!!!!! But I feel, for those who admire Karbie, it was the central, primary reason for likability...Karbie stood as the king of all....the other reasons were just secondary or subordinate!

So, yeah, I think ideally, in most cases, Karbie is the MAIN reason to love ERT and it is also the sole reason why it's my #1 favourite!!!!!!!!

It is not canon (though it doesn't matter, it's up to the fans what they wish to believe and what they don't)

It is no longer available for streaming!

I just wish they could re-release it somehow! Like if they could format it into a movie, a proper movie of whatever duration and re-release it!!!! I know, if something like that happens it would be very hard or maybe impossible to include each and every scene from the interactive, because many of them collide! But still, if they change the story a bit, modify a few scenes and add a few more in such a manner that most of the different choices (though conflicting) make sense, most of the scenes could be included in the film version!

Also, we are already aware that we had the option to undo our choice and as soon as we hit an ending, Barbie would appear streaming live, from her current address, explaining her current status, and provide a chance to go back and make a difference choice!!!!! With the same concept the movie version of Epic Road Trip could be made...the only difference would be that you won't get a 'choice to go back into the film and do things differently, the movie would automatically take you back and show you outcomes of different choices!!!!! I guess that would work!!!! I hope it's ever possible because they can't let such a masterpiece disappear forever🥺

For example, in this movie version, Barbie chooses the long song at first in Pennsylvania after handing over Truffles to its new owner (I personally hate that choice, but using it here to just explain my point)...then she gets a chance to go to London with Brooklyn!!! She and Brooklyn stream live to notify the fans and tell them how their life is going...Barbie says that Ken visits very often!!! Then she wonders what would've happened if she'd picked the short song instead and says you can always go back since there are so many possibilities...and then the movie would rewind by itself and get redirected to the scene where Barbie has to pick either the long or the short song, where she picks the short song this time and goes to the ferris wheel with Ken...in a similar way all (or most of) the scenes could be shown, with some alterations if required (P.S. I wouldn't want the ferris wheel kiss scene to be altered at all, and the 'take it slow' version to be removed forever!!! The take it slow thing is one of those I never wish to see again!)

Or if there's any other way to make it canon, I hope it's taken into consideration!!!

There's one more idea I have which could help convert it into a canon film with respect to Barbie vlogverse...but I would keep it for another post, some time later!!!!!!!
