Tamaran was on guard for any and all approaching ships, in these times. It was a thing that hadn’t been that way for a while - sure, some guards were always there to show visitors where they could land their ship, but currently they had to check where the ship originated from and then sometimes even keep it from getting to the planet, at all. It almost felt like the beginning of a war, when all there really was to it was a decree by their recent, and still rather newly-(-again-)crowned, empress, Blackfire. A lot had happened that brought her to this position despite her banishment a while ago, but here she was now and she was accepted as ruler, even by her siblings who seemed accepting of being at her side.
When something approached the planet, the nearby tamaranean guards immediately ran a scan of it. It wasn’t earthen in origin, it was kryptonian, so two of them approached the ship. Though, capsule or maybe pod was probably a better term, it was rather small to be called ship.
Once the guards were close enough, they began doing gestures to show the way to move for the ship to land in the designated area.

Her face lit up upon mention of the Tamaranean holiday.
“Celebrated today? You should have told me last year! That way I would’ve prepared months in advance. I’d love to!”
Her eyes averted from Star to the goodie bag in hand. She wondered what was in it, though she learned after Christmas to stop using x-ray vision on presents!
“You know, the more holidays I learn about on Earth, the more I’ve come to appreciate the different cultures here. It’s like a galaxy of different planets inhabiting one world. Maybe one day Kal-El and I can start a holiday here too like you have from your home.”
To the suggestion that she should probably let her friends know in advance, Starfire giggled a little sheepishly. “I am always intending to inform my friends beforehand, but I am forgetting it before I am doing so!” maybe she should write it down instead or something. She clapped her hands a few times when Kara agreed to celebrating together, and she reached into her bag to feel out a necklace to take while nodding to her friend’s words. “Yes! I too find it most fascinating how so many varying cultures and traditions are all existing on the same planet!” Now with a necklace in her hand, she clasped her hands together at the idea. “Oh! I would be most curious and eager to learn about holidays from your home!”
She held the necklace in front of herself, and approached Kara some more.
“These necklaces are the most common part of Blorthog! They represent a friendship, and they are given to the other accompanied with well-wishing!” Tilting her head slightly, she waited a moment for confirmation of Kara that it was alright for Starfire to place the necklace around her neck.
Lonely Birthday

Tony wasn’t having a great birthday this year. The team was still scattered and he had just lost Peter. What was he supposed to do. He didn’t even know how to feel remotely human. Pepper had pretty much forced a party on him, mostly to celebrate that Tony was still even alive despite all odds. He just dropped his head into his hands after smiling stiffly at someone who wished him happy birthday. He felt someone next to him and sighed quietly, “Yes, it’s my birthday. Thank you for your warm wishes.”

Kara leaned against one of the CatCo windows, peering down at the rest of National City as she remembered all those times. “When I was younger, more than I can count. But Alex…” She beamed at Eren as she spoke of her. “…she did a fantastic job of showing me that I belonged. And I owe her my life for not giving up on me, her weirdo adopted sister.”

Eren jumped initially, not having realized he had been so loud. Though it was nice to know others where listening, in a way it was actually super comforting to know. He offered a smile. “Thanks. It’s been hell trying to readjust to civilian life. Not sure what I’d do if it wasn’t for my adopted sister Mikasa. She is the one who got me this job here as security, so far everything is going great.” Eren chose to ignore the looks he got for the scar and his prosthetic leg. “Thank you for responding Miss...er....Danvers correct?”
