    “Hey!!” “Hey!” I smile as I hug my friend Kian, “Thanks for the invite.” “Of course, I’d be crazy not to invite my best friend.” Jc comes up to me, “Hey dude, it’s been too long.” I hug him, “Hey, I missed you!” I see Corey and I hug him, “I missed you.” “I missed you too!!” Kian smiles at me, “You hungry? Fran made stuffed shells!” “That’s awesome, I love Fran’s food!!” I go into the kitchen with Kian and I see a plate full of stuffed shells, I smile a little, taking a paper plate and putting some food on my plate and Kian sits on the counter, “I like your shirt.” I smile, “Thanks Kian.” He has his arms extended, “I want another hug.” I put my plate down, hugging him as he rubs my shoulder, “I missed you so much.” “I missed you too Kian.” I get up on the counter and sit beside him, eating my food in silence.

     A few hours later and I’m sat out by the pool with Kian and Harrison, laughing over some story that Harrison’s just got done telling. Jc comes sauntering up to us, slurring but not wasted, I stand, “Hey maybe you should chill with the booze, you’ll regret it in the morning.” He laughs, picking me up and I laugh with him, “Jc put me down!” He throws me into the pool, surprising me but I surface, shocked and Jc is already turning and walking away, everyone’s laughing but all I can think about is how dumb I must look. I get out of the pool and Corey is laughing at me, attempting to take a photo of me and I push him away, “Dont!” He laughs, “Aw come on, you still look good!” I go back into the house, dripping wet as I shuffle into the bathroom, struggling to keep my emotions in check as I attempt to fix my hair.

      Only five minutes passes before there’s a knock at the door, “Occ-” “[Y/n], it’s me.” I open the door slowly and Kian smiles, “Is everything alright?” “I’m just dandy.” He comes through the door, closing it behind him and wrapping a towel around my shoulders, “Come on, you’re dripping wet.” I sniffle a little as he wraps me tighter, “Jc’s just a goofy drunk.” “I know, I know he didnt mean anything by it, just was joking around but-” “Do you want to change into some of my clothes? Just until these clothes dry?” I nod slowly and he opens the door to the bathroom, Jc waiting on the otherside and he looks genuinely apologetic, “I’m sorry [Y/n], I’m-” “It’s okay Jc, you’re just so lucky my phone wasnt in my pocket.” He laughs a little and Kian grabs my hand, walking me through the house and up the stairs to his room.
